Hey everyone.  Here is a mashup of my Mr Bone and Bunny Art Toy - Dunny models.  For this mashup I have added a cross to the Dunny body and created an Uzi machine gun (which is Dummy 13 compatible).  The colour of the headphones has also been mixed up from the standard Mr Bone model.

The model is about is about 7.5cm (~3") tall and the head and arms are poseable.

Please refer to building instructions of original models.

Happy printing!

Notes

  • This was supposed to be a simple mashup, but getting the profile to work well with silk PLA was incredibly difficult and I had many fails along the way with the arms breaking and the body always being knocked off the bed.  As a result I have made numerous orientation and support changes from the original Dunny model in order to get it to work reliably.
  • The quality of the print with silk PLA varies enormously depending on the filament.  Even between two different colours of Bambu Silk filaments, some turned out well while others had strange bumpy artifacts around the chest cross area (and this even occurred with brand new filament).

Building Tips

  • Given the print orientation of the body, the neck hole needs to be trimmed slightly for the neck pin to fit.
  • Make sure you trim the arm pins and arms holes a bit before twisting the arms in, because if the arms are too big, it is possible to split the body.  (I did this once and increased the infill and number of walls since, but silk PLA definitely has less layer bond strength than regular PLA).
  • The chest cross is quite fragile, so be careful when removing it from the supports. I find prying it from the top with a model knife works well.  Trim this to your satisfaction.  I have found the shape of this varies quite a bit depending on the filament used.  With Sunlu gold silk and Generic Silk PLA profile it turned out almost perfect.
  • Just in case you don't read the building instructions, the neck pin is a tight fit, so if you can't push it in by hand then hold the body and push the pin against a hard surface like a table. Twist the head on and if it doesn't sit flush with the body it means you need to push the pin in further.
