Description

Stake Clip for the Moss Pole (Original (118mm) and Petit (70mm)) by MochPoch

As with conventional moss poles that get top-heavy over time, adding a stake is the usual next step.

Due to frequent inquiries, I've set up a Thangs.com membership for those interested in obtaining a commercial license to sell prints of this model. Please note, this 3D model is NOT for sale, and any use of its media (including but not limited to STLs, print profiles, images, renders, and videos) is prohibited. If you come across it being sold or used commercially without a reference to the membership, kindly report it and let me know.

If you need the model in a specific dimension for your license, feel free to reach out anytime! 😊

The stake clips are available for 2 versions of the pole:

  1. Original (118mm)
  2. Petit (70mm)

This two-sided clip snaps onto the backing of the moss pole and the stake. Position the wider opening of the stake clip pointing downwards. This will prevent the moss pole from releasing itself from the stake if it tilts forward. It will also ensure that the pole clip hugs the pole backing snugly.

The pole clip has 3 options:

ClipCompatible Stake Diameter
8 mm8 to 9.5 mm
11 mm11 to 13 mm
16 mm16 to 19.5 mm

Some Notes

  • One could probably fit other stake dimensions, but I haven't tested beyond what I have listed above.
  • The best stability addition that one can use is a heavy planter. Ensure that the stake is also placed in the planter.

I recommend PETG as it is more flexible for snapping the pole and stake on. I have tried using PLA, but it was harder to snap on.

I have uploaded a print profile if you'd like to print it with translucent PETG, as it has a different set of parameters.

  • Requests are welcome - should you need a different dimension or a part specific to your need, let me know and I will try my best to make it available.
