Description

Oh no! not one more filament clip for Bambu Lab spools.

Look at my new larger clip with color swatch

I have tried many filament clips but never found the perfect one, so I designed my own and tested and adjusted many times to get it to fit as well as I want.

In the end it turned out like this, a simple design with a really good fit, it sits tight but can still be moved easily.

I do not recommend using print profiles other than my own as I have not tested the others and cannot guarantee that they will work well. For example, they have too small hole.

UPDATE! I have update the original model now with a little bigger hole (2.12mm) since all filaments seem to be a little different thickness, so now it should work better I hope. If this is to small take the one with bigger hole (2,25mm).

NEW PROFILE ADDED!

New profile with bigger hole added for those who think the hole has been too small. The original should work with a hole of 2.12mm mm, but for some the hole has been too small so you can print the new one that I added with a hole of 2.25 mm.

About 1 g (1,2g) filament and is quick to print, copy as many as you need on the same plate or choose it for AMS and print 4 pieces in different colors on the same plate.

They work well for printing at faster speeds if you want.

Print more than one in Bambu Handy app

add mor clips to the plate like this in the app, and if you do it on computer, just copy and paste as many you want.

Good evening, After printing the first profile for the P1S, the filament hole is too small. Measurements on the four parts I printed show 1.67mm, so the filament will not pass through. Did I miss a step?

If you print using one of my profiles, the result should be excellent The two profiles with 4 and 3 uploaded by others have holes that are too small

So simple, yet they bring me so much joy! I just print one each time I open up a new spool of filament for a matching clip. Prints fast at about a gram of filament. The tight hole design works perfectly for Bambu filament. So satisfying, and they work so all!

Printed off 10 clips and put them right to work. They fit perfectly onto the spool and the filament goes right through. Excellent and efficient design!!

I've noticed that everyone seems to get differently sized holes, it works for me, but I've updated the profiles now with larger holes, so try again

I can verify that the "bigger hole" version is perfect. I suspect different filaments have slight different expansions while being printed, causing variability in the actual hole size printed.

I've tried several types of filament clips for my OEM Bambu spools, including those that clip onto the end and the last loop on the filament. I've come back to these, as they are the easiest to use and have rounded edges so there's less risk of them causing a leak in my filament vacuum bags. I did print the ones with the smallest holes and then use a precision drill bit to get the exact fit that I wanted. That's no fault of the model. It's just how 3d printing works. Still giving a full 5 stars!
