Notice:

Since I have respect for other designers' designs I sent a private message to ask if I could post a remix and didn't hear back after several days.

This remix is specifically for those who want the RISER in ABS.

DESCRIPTION:

Since I print with high temperature materials, it is absolutely NOT RECOMMENDED to use PLA!

 

Especially if you change the plates after printing ABS, PC , PAHT, PA6 ,…. , which have a different temperature resistance.

 

For example, you finished to print a something in ABS, you remove the hot 90°C plate from the printer and you put back in YOUR 3D PRINTED PLA riser.

Guess what can it happen? It melts! Because PLA Vicar Softening Temperature is only 57°C!

 

COMPARED TO THE VICAR SOFTENING TEMPERATURE OF ABS:

 

That's why I warn you about the risk of printing the riser in PLA!
 

It was a BIG project that took me a lot of time and changes due to the type of filament and it is known that ABS does not have dimensional stability, but rather tends to shrink by almost 0.30mm for each print.

 

 

This project was finished on the 30th December 2023 and I tested for 6 months! No issues!

 

 

MY SECRET TO AVOID WARPING IS THIS NUMBER : 97°C FOR THE BED AND APPLY LIQUID GLUE OR NORMAL GLUE! THIS IS THE WAY I ALWAYS HAVE STRAIGHT PRINTS FOREVER! Just adding +7°C for the bed makes the difference!
YOU HAVE ALREADY MY PROFILE SET UP WITH THAT NUMBER!

Obviously the temperature may vary depending on the climate you live in!

FILAMENTS:

BAMBU LAB ABS (BLACK , GREEN , ORANGE & SILVER) FOR ALL THE RISER PARTS AND BAMBU LAB TPU95-HF ONLY FOR THE GASKETS.

Since the filaments are printed at different settings and temperatures, they cannot be in a single file, unfortunately!
I've already tried and it gives me an error, I'll tell you so you can save time!

  • NICE GAP BETWEEN THE TOP GLASS AND THE DASH, SO THE TOP GLAS LAYS PERFECTLY ON IT WITHOUT PROTRUDING

  • CUSTOM DRAWERS

  • TEXTURED SURFACE FOR THE DRAWERS

  • DRAWERS EASY TO PRINT

  • TEXTURED SURFACE FOR THE FRONT PARTS OF THE RISER NAMED AS 1 & 2 IN THE FILE

  • EASY MULTI-COLOR PRINT FOR THE FRONT PARTS OF THE RISER NAMED AS 1 & 2 IN THE FILE , SO BLACK AND SILVER ABS AT LAYER 0.01mm

  • CARBON FIBER TEXTURE ON THE GASKETS

  • RESISTANT TO HIGHER TEMPERATURES AND LOADS

  • PERFECT HEIGHT FOR THE BUTTONS AND ALIGNED TO THE DASH

 

 

TOOLS:

TWEEZERS, x4 M3 SCREWS 2 FOR EACH DRAWERS AND POSSIBLY SANDPAPER TO SMOOTH THE SUPPORTS, BUT IT IS AN EXTRA!

 

EXTRAS:

POWER BANK AND USB LED CONTROLLER EASY TO FIND ON ALIEXPRESS OR AMAZON TO TURN ON & OFF THE LED OR TO CHANGE THE COLOR. YOU NEED TO STRIP THE LED WIRED AND CONNECT TO THE CONTROLLERS PINS.

THIS IS THE EASIEST WAY TO TURN ON AND OFF THE LED WITHOUT USING EXTRA ELECTRONICS LIKE ARDUINO OR ESP32:

 

 

 

LIGHT SET UP:

 

 

HOW TO ASSEMBLE TO RISER:

1 CONNECT THE INSERTS TO THE RISER AND TO THE DASH

 

 

 

2 INSERT THE BUTTONS AND LAY THE GASKETS IN POSITION

 

 

 

 

 

NOTICE:
 

I don't provide back grills for the part 3 & 4. Furthermore maybe you will find some side grills too loose and some others too tight.

Remember this profile works only for ABS, in case you have tolerances problems , play adding +0.30mm or -0.30mm to the part.
But as good I saw , each model doesn't need changes.
