MakerWorld aims to foster a safe, inclusive, and creative community where users can share 3D printing models, knowledge, and ideas.
These community guidelines clearly define the content and behavior that are not allowed on MakerWorld; they apply to all areas of the platform, including models, print profiles, comments, posts, MakerLab, and related services (collectively, “MakerWorld”).
All users are expected to comply with applicable laws, widely accepted community standards, and these guidelines.
Content that depicts, promotes, or provides instructions for illegal activities is prohibited, including but not limited to:
Content that promotes, trades, or markets regulated or prohibited goods may be restricted or removed depending on context.
Content that provides models, guidance, or services to enable or facilitate illegal activities, or to bypass laws or regulations, is prohibited and will be removed.
Content depicting violence or graphic imagery is prohibited, including:
Content that promotes or expresses hatred, discrimination, or exclusion toward individuals or groups based on protected attributes is prohibited, including but not limited to:
Content that targets individuals or groups in a harmful, abusive, or intimidating manner is prohibited and will be removed, including but not limited to:
Content that may pose a risk to personal or public safety is restricted or removed, including but not limited to:
*Risk Disclosure: Models that may pose risks must clearly disclose these risks for user and reviewer clarity. Disclosure does not guarantee approval or exemption from review, restriction, or removal.
Content that spreads false or misleading information that may cause harm, confusion, controversy, or disruption to individuals or society
Content involving explicit sexual material is prohibited and will be removed, including:

These two tiers of rules operate on a cumulative basis — Supplemental Guidelines complement rather than supersede the Community Guidelines. When creating, publishing, or engaging with a specific content type, users are obligated to comply with both the Community Guidelines and the corresponding Supplemental Guidelines.The current Supplemental Guidelines are as follows:

These Account Guidelines outline behaviors that are not allowed on MakerWorld. Users must comply with the following rules when creating and using their accounts. Violations of these rules may result in content restriction, removal, account suspension, or other enforcement actions.
Do not share, sell, trade, or transfer your account, or allow others to access it.
Do not impersonate any individual or entity, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation. This includes:
Do not manipulate platform activity or engagement. This includes:
Do not use your account to spam (e.g., excessive posting or low-quality content), promote excessively, or redirect users off-platform.
Do not misuse platform features, including the reporting system, to harass, target, or harm others or the community.
MakerWorld reserves the right to independently assess the violations of these Guidelines and take the following measures at its discretion:
Your account may be banned from uploading any models or other submissions.
Your account may be banned from any or all programs applications for 30 calendar days.
Repeat offenders may be suspended from any or all programs applications permanently.
All models and profiles under your account will be removed from MakerWorld;
All points associated with the account will be revoked;
The account will no longer be able to post, upload models, or engage in other activities.
If users believe that restrictions, suspensions, or termination applied to their account have been made in error, they may submit an appeal through MakerWorld’s appeal system or by sending an email to support@makerworld.com. Our teams will conduct a thorough reevaluation of the decision.

Before submitting an appeal, please carefully read and understand the relevant rules. MakerWorld will conduct an independent evaluation based on the submitted materials and existing records and reserves the right of final interpretation regarding the appeal outcome.
