Description

Updated: I have added in the option for rear spool and also added in the option for the rear spool and double plate. I have not tested the last 6 plates but I duplicated what was currently created.

I found two risers I really liked but I missed something from both. So, I took then and combined then into one. Within the 3mf file you will find all the connecting pieces and part to build the entire riser (for the connecting parts you will see some bowtie shaped and the thinnest 2 are used between main riser pieces 1 and 2 on the underside. The two models I used are in the links below.

For the power to the LED I used the 24v to 5v converter, see below. I also added a USB switch

The LED I used is linked below (6000k cool white USB5v-connector-4.92ft/1.5m).

The USB swich is linked below.

I have saved my print setting but might not work for everyone so use those with caution.

I'm interested in printing this, but can you post the .stp files or make a .3mf version using them? Quality issues from damaged/low-poly .stl meshes drives me nuts.

The 3mf file should beable to be downloaded already. I put all parts in the same file so people can choose. it should be the green arrow pointing down. Otherwise later i can repull the files from tinkercad.

The image I shared was from the .3mf file. That explains things though, TinkerCAD can't export .step files. Does it let you export .stl files at a higher quality level/resolution?

i like this remix a lot and it printed very good!!! to save some time I reoriented the 2 front part because too much support but it plays with the quality of the inside holes of the vent…. there is a lot of trimming support, sanding, gluing, and assembling but it’s straight forward!!! I would do it again! in my opinion it’s the best remix thank

good deal if you dont mind adding up your setting for people. i saved it in the rotation in the file because i wanted to be lazy and if something doesnt get cleaned up it will be out of site lol but adding the venting did make it more of a challenge to print.

Am I reading this correctly almost 4 kilograms of filament and 6 days to print? Not trying to be critical or anything just like to know what I'm getting myself into. I really like this remix. Can I get a breakdown on amount of filament used based on color/type? Thank you.

please look at 3mf file. This has multiple variation within, it contains two entire setups and a different set of back peices depending on what you want.

i remixed both variations of the the original file both will now have a spool holder and one will have a extra plate holder.

So the totals in the picture are a running total for all variations? Approximately how much of the main color to print the 2 plate version? Just trying to determine if I have enough filament on hand or need to order before I start. Thanks again.

for whatever reason the side inserts didn’t fit very well and were a bit too snug causing some bowing on the bottom edge, so I resized the width slightly to fit. The inverse seems to trye for the footprint drawer. I just added 1% all the way around so everything fits in the drawer better. The resizing of the drawer leaves 3/32” of a gap resulting in a bit tighter fit in the drawer hole.

if you could please add you print profile so other can use. mine poped in a little snug on the left and right side but no issues. the rear 2 have a small bow in them and relooking at the original creators design to try and fix.

I am uploading the back left and right now just as stl files. Should be called "Back Left (2 plate no spool holder)" and "Back Right (2 plate no spool holder)"

Did you do this in PETG? Also, what color did you use in your picture?

I printed it in pla. the filament used was bambu matte ash grey and matte dark blue also bambu tpu 95a for gaskets. For all parts I printed on RETUXEP 3D Printer PEO PEI Build Plate for Bambu Lab X1/P1P/P1S 3D Printer,Smooth PEO+Textured PEI Surface 257x257mm Spring Steel Plate,Double Sided Flexible Sheet Removable Platform https://a.co/d/4QUByiH

When I printed the DK Riser I did it in PETG because I thought there might be some heat issues, interesting you did it in PLA, had any issues with heat?
0
Reply
no heat issues. you have the vents that you can open and close. the only thing that might get a lot of heat is the vent area but thats all supported by the machine and warpage shouldnt happen. no heat should be on the area thats holding up the ams either for the air gap and the glass lid.

one request… could you also add in the external spool holder feature like this one? (also see how it holds the Bowden tube?) https://makerworld.com/models/50146

This looks like a nice set up. I want spool holder and plate holder version. Should I print plates 5 -13 and 16 -19?
