Description

Its a crane cabin to turn your A1 series into a fun little crane or something along those lines.

It prints flat and you fold everything in and use double sided tape to stick it on your unit.Let me know if you cant figure it out. You also need to use any sharp object to remove the brims that it has all around to prevent warping.

Also door is articulating with the thin brim-like structure if you fold it inside the housing.

I am curious about your opinion so let me know in the comments!

It is the first time I see a foldable model. Looks great! Should there be a hole on the cabin for the railing? (second pic) I had to cut down a small piece from it to fit.

great print! Actually it would be more secure if i had put a hole the way you describe it, normally i designed and tested it without a hole and it worked out ok so not sure how that caused you problems.

I see that on your model it was not caused that problem. I don't why but because of that piece the rail was not straight on mine.

Thanks for the print! I just noticed, i should have explained the door part better. The thin layer between the main body and tje door was actually the joint between them and you fold the door inside the body so its my bad on that part and i would update the photos to explain it better.

I made a design of a similar idea but just looks a little plain, where the cabin actually uses the hole on the cutter arm to hold it in place, but mine sits on top of that rather than where yours is. I think a design that uses that hole rather than tape, which some might find off-putting, works well, so maybe consider it? Up to you. Its still a great design though.

it would be a lot cleaner looking but since i made the design foldable, i couldnt figure out a way to do a mounting point because back of the print lays flat to print bed. Thanks for the suggestion though! I will think of the ways to do a mount. Gave your design a like and download aswell.

it’s fine, it took some persuasion to get everything to fit together nicely, also the “walk way fence” piece didn’t fit without cutting off some material
Other Issues:some pieces needed modification to fit properly and other parts didn’t really fold together properly, still fun though
