Description

This custom-designed rear stabilizer is engineered for pump foiling, offering a reliable and cost-effective alternative to carbon wings. Measuring 388mm wide, it provides an excellent balance of lift and glide for your pumping sessions. The mount is fully Axis compatible and is designed to attach securely to your fuselage using standard Axis stabilizer screws.

3D Printing Specifications: To ensure the wing has the necessary stiffness and durability to handle the hydrodynamic forces of pump foiling, use the following print profile:

  • Orientation: Print upright (vertical) to optimize layer adhesion and strength against bending forces.
  • Perimeters: 4 outer layers (walls) for a solid, watertight shell.
  • Infill: 45% for a strong yet relatively lightweight internal structure.
  • Material: PETG is highly recommended due to its impact resistance and slight flex, though other solid, high-strength materials (like Polycarbonate, ABS, or carbon-infused filaments) will also work exceptionally well.

This robust print configuration ensures a stiff, reliable ride while keeping the foil agile in the water.

I printed it on my P2S in 3 pieces - center and 2 wings, then connected. I will test it on Sunday

I didn't glue it yet, it was quite hard to insert, since I printed the hole and the insert of the same size, and just slightly shaped the corners to allow the insert.

could you please put in the file of it split in three parts

Haven't glued or tested yet, but here's my rendition. split into 3 parts, using 3mm carbon rods from amazon for strength. More labor intensive for sure, but printing the wings upright allows for a much smoother path for the water. certainly feels strong enough. but time will tell. if anything is gonna snap off, it'll be the tips where there's no extra support from the carbon.

It worked! until I fell, and then it snapped, lol. I think it would work for pump foiling, but I took it for a wakefoil and it worked great until the first fall.

I'm thinking about cutting it in 3 pieces for the assembly, since I also have just P2S, and I'd prefer a slightly longer version, closer to 500mm wingspan
