Grid Light - completely 3d printable
Print Profile(1)

Description
This LED lamp is completely 3D printable! It is designed so that no single part needs support. You dont need any glue or screws, everything is hold in place by 3D printable clips.
I power my lamp with a Node MCU and WLED. There are a lot of tutorials on how to do it so i wont cover this again here.
Assembly guide:
- Print all parts:
- Grid Layer 1-7
- 72 transparent windows
- 72 clips
- Get your WS2811 or WS2812 pixel chain cut to a length of 31 pixels.
- Insert the clips into layer 1. As a hint: take some tongs to squeeze the clip a bit before trying to insert it, that way it fits easier and will still hold well!
- Insert the LEDs into the layer 1.
- Connect the layer 2 to layer 1, some force is needed, i 2 clamps to controll pressure better and worked on a flat, even surface.
- Repeat step 3-5 with the other grid layers.
- Connect your LED controller of choice to the leds.
- Connect the base part to the rest of the light.
- Insert the window parts, they fit right into place and need no glueing.
There you go! Hope you had fun building this quite complex light! Its quite the challenge but worth every second tinkering :D
If you manage to build this i would love to see some pictures!
