ROOT player boxes (token cover edition)

Since I uploaded the token covers for Root, I realized my options were to either bag everything or make a custom insert. So here's a player tray/box for every faction (up to Marauders) that fits in the base game box with some caveats.

The Vagabond box won't fit token covers (aside from the 2 VP markers) as I find the token covers too bulky to play with on the player board. The vagabond box should fit every relationship token, every starting item, including the extra ruins and starting items, and all the vagabond cards. EDIT: Alternative Vagabond with token covers is now an option (fits only 2 VP tokens, 7 starting items and relationship tokens)

The Riverfolk card stand fits in the middle, as do the closed path markers and landmarks under it.
Won't fit maps or player boards. I store all of them in the Underworld box.

I made this mostly for myself and for fun, but I decided to share it because I do like the end result and it makes the setup much easier.
There might be some differences between the photos and the final product, as I have tweaked the models after printing.

UPDATE 2.12.2025: Updated with fixed Marauder player boxes. I had to make them slightly taller than the other boxes to accommodate for their faction cards. I use Dragon Shield Common Standard sleeves. I'll probably work on the deck boxes for the next update.

UPDATE 13.1.2026: Added deck boxes. Fits Dragon Shield Clear/Matte sleeves so these should fit any sleeves really.

UPDATE 21.1.2026: Made the Marquise de Cat box slightly smaller and adjusted the faction icons on the lids (they're now all added separately as parts and their wall loops are set to 999). Updated the images so everything is up-to-date (except for the Corvid box in picture #6. #7 has the most recent version of it)

UPDATE 14.2.2026: Updated the outdated Keeper of Iron box, should now match the pictures and fit 4 tokens per slot (was 3).

UPDATE 3.3.2026: Updated the Marquise de Cat box; added a small window for the round tokens for easier access, and lengthened the meeple slots by 1mm.

UPDATE 16.5.2026: Updated the Vagabond box (slightly taller, has a separate insert for the vagabond meeples), added also an alternative Vagabond box to be used with token covers (fits starting items and relationship tokens only)

UPDATE 17.5.2026: Made the Woodland Alliance meeple slots 0.5mm longer.

UPDATE 14.6.2026: Made the Underground Duchy crown slot 1mm wider.
