Your contribution is my fuel for my projects, thanks

I designed these covers because dirt always accumulates in my printer compartment, they keep the bearing clean.

These covers were created so that they can be removed or lifted to lubricate the bearing or grease the worm gear.

They do not create any obstacles to the printer.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED:
The printer started to squeak, the grease and the bearing didn't get along with the dirt I created.

PROJECT: Fusion 360
I did various tests to make everything so precise, i kept the inclination of the printer so as to have a better aesthetic.

PRINT SETTINGS:

Print it with any material, I used Bambu material.

-Ugello 0.4mm

-Layer height 0.12mm
-No Supports

-100% filling

-3 Walls

ASSEMBLY:

The joints are held by the offsets given by the screws and the assembled pieces.

I cleaned everything, removing excess grease, put the grease directly on the worm screw

Note: with a little patience you will be able to mount the covers also on the screw at the back.

DISASSEMBLY:

Very simple to dismantle the protection, to be able to carry out maintenance or an aesthetic change if you like.

To carry out maintenance, I personally raise the protection and lubricate.

I had to remove them because they were jammed in the print bed, preventing it from rising!

I experienced the same issue, and now my machine sounds faulty, as if something is lodged inside, but even after cleaning the grease and everything else, I cannot eliminate the sound 😢

Printed with BambuLab Matte Black PLA. The parts fit exactly, yet leaving the rod enough room to operate. The outer side of the female connector is a bit weak and almost broke off on one of the parts. In the photo, you can see that it's a little bit dented. If handled with caution however, that's not a serious issue.

Thank you for your feedback, to prevent this you should detach the piece with the bed not so hot. I have noticed that the matte material is increasingly fragile compared to the usual PLA.

Thanks for the quick response! I needed to re-post my comment because I noticed I forgot the rating, so I will delete this one. Anyway, thanks for the recommendations, I will keep that in mind for my next projects :)

A remarkably simple print, whether it will prove useful will show in time.

The tolerances are really right, so hopefully you have small hands to reach the small gap between the two walls in the back. It's quite troublesome, but I have faith that you can do it! Keep a little grease on the top of the bearing and it'll hold your cap in place. Just be patient with it. You only have to install them once hopefully. Make sure that both tabs are pushed down to the top of the bearing. You'll feel if one side of the tab is sitting higher than the other, at the connection point.

Mount it correctly, otherwise you risk the print bed touching the part 😊

tolerance are little tight, but works well in place

The tolerances must be tight in this case, did you print it in petg?!

In PLA, PETG is not necessary for this place
