#Revive Maker World Since about the time the new year started, Makerworld started hosting "Community Favorite" awards parallel to their contests that are about making the best model. There they ask you to deliver an "inspiration" to the model for the contest. But this is just junk, because people will write just some made up inspirational stuff to make their model sound good. Like fr. How should you get inspired when there is literally a SET THEME TO EACH CONTEST, so the "inspiration" is makerworld giving you a theme. Like, if you really get inspired by something, It is likely that there is no contest for that. And in the end, it's just who advertises their model best and that model advertising gets pushed by makerworld! I've got no problem with people just saying "Here is my new model, a ... , go check it out" But when makerworld not only promotes people to not only to do the advertising for that model in the first place because they wanna win the contest, but also giving them more visibility so that we see nothing else anymore. And a made up inspirational text is way more annoying than just the "Hey I've got a new model" But I've got an idea for you, @MakerWorld: Why don't you do community contests for other stuff? I really like the idea of a community contest but why don't you do for example a contest on who gives the best printing advice for beginners? That would actually help lots of people and be way more interesting and here, you really decide who has got best advices, not can use ChatGPT the best to make an inspiration advertisement.

I scrolled for half a minute and the only posts I saw were people advertising their models! I don't want people advertising things to be completely banned, I just want to also see stuff from small creators! All those advertisements are there because they are either for crowdfunding or contests or there just big creators! Small creators like me have no possibility to get themselves heard over all the big advertisers. Probably because of that, this post likely won't even reach many, because nobody sees it. But it used to become different. Half a year ago, I could scroll down the community and see creators posting about printing experiences, about th their setup, about new milestones they achieved. But you could also see small creators posting for the first time, asking for starters advice. But makerworld has taken this community from us and turned it into an advertising page So @MakerWorld, GIVE US BACK OUR COMMUNITY!

Yes! Thank you @BambuLab @MakerWorld ! Turns out I looked at the wrong giftcard in the points shop, the one for a 50 Euro order with 40 Euros discount, not the real one. I could have gotten the fake one, but not the real one, but I realized that AFTER my "Thank you"post, so I didn't do anything and didn't want to beg for points. #Milestone I'm about to achieve my first big goal on makerworld: a giftcard. Huge shoutouts to @CrazyPrint,@HC3DPrinting,@R_24_3D, and @TornadicDesign for giving me 5 boosts in total, I thank you all very much. These boosts bring me to a total of 498 points, which is enough for a 40$ giftcard...but unfortunately, I live in the eu and I looked up how many points I need for a 40€ giftcard-and it's exactly 500 points! This literally can't be! I'm 2 points away from my first ever giftcard! If anyone whould help, I whould be really grateful for it.
