V2 Print Profiles with Drawer Stopper - More information on change log bellow - (24-09-2025)

Functional Sections

  • What is it? A modular storage unit designed to integrate seamlessly with the Rack4All system. It provides enclosed storage for various items, from 3D printing accessories to general workspace supplies. Available in single and double widths.
The Rack4All — Spools and Tags + Build-Plates + Storage Systems
  • What does it do? It allows you to organize and protect your items, keep your workspace tidy, and easily access what you need. The front label area makes it easy to identify contents without opening the drawer.
All the modules available at the release
  • How does it work? The unit features removable, print-in-place drawers that slide in and out smoothly. The signature Rack4All tilt helps keep items organized inside. Offers various shelf options: standard (for boxes), Gridfinity - compatible, and hybrid.

Example shelf/drawer of a 2/3 Gridfinity 1/3 Space for closed boxes.
  • What materials are required?
    • PLA, PETG, or ABS filament.
    • 3mm acrylic or Bambu panel (for laser-cut panels, optional).
    • M2.5x10 or M2.5x12 screws.
    • M2.5 square nuts.
    • 6x3 Magnets (optional, for front cover).

    • The various shelves/drawers are also provided in a separate profile.

This makes document management easier for both you and me.

Non-Functional Sections

  • Design Inspiration: The design was inspired by a need for versatile, enclosed storage that could integrate with my existing Rack4All setup. I wanted something that could protect sensitive components and keep my workspace tidy, especially after getting the Bambu Lab H2D Combo laser.
  • Aesthetics: The unit is designed to be both functional and visually appealing. The clean lines and optional decorative panels (including laser-cut options) allow you to customize the look to match your personal style. The laser-cut panels allow for multi-material designs and a touch of sophistication.
The possibilities offered by the H2D open up a whole new dimension in terms of creativity and what can be achieved. This is just the beginning. The capabilities provided by this machine have tripled.
  • Future Plans: I plan to release additional accessories and modules for the storage unit, including specialized drawers, wall-mounting options, and a new grid system for maximum space utilization.
  • Community: I'm eager to hear your feedback and see how you use the storage unit in your own setups. Share your makes, remixes, and ideas in the comments!

V2 Print Profiles with Drawer Stopper

A new set of profiles, Version 2, is now available in the print profiles. While a number of improvements have been made, the most notable change is to the drawers, which now have a catch (Stopper) to prevent them from sliding out completely.
If you prefer to use the modules as simple, removable shelves rather than drawers with a stopper, you should use the original print profiles named "Basic Modules," "Lateral Panels," and "Sheafs - Drawers." The newer versions that include the stopper are identified with the suffix “with Stopper.”

I understand that some of you will appreciate this change, while others prefer the ease of being able to remove the drawers completely. For this reason, the original option remains available in the print profiles.

Key changes in the V2 profile:

  • The M2.5 screws have been updated to M3.
  • The magnets have been slightly repositioned, making them easier to install.

For the smoothest assembly, it's best to insert the drawers before attaching the back panel. Since the drawers fit snugly, following this order makes the process much easier, especially for the smaller box, which is more structurally rigid.

Great model! Note - Updated rating: Ignore the chat about incorrect bolt-fit. My bolts aren't labeled well. Always measure the bolt without the head, and use a minimum length of 10mm (head excluded).

nice color scheme. Regarding the bolt length. the 10mm is the minimum and should work... did you remove all the supports from the bolt head pocket ?

You're looking at my "housecleaning"-prints, using some of the old roles, not really used for anything. Your design is awesome, as they almost fits perfect in my IKEA BESTÅ Wall-mounted solution. I'll post something, once I'm done. Regarding the supports: It sure looks like I removed everything? I'll add one photo for reference. Don't mind the manually drilled hole - I've addressed that in the other comment.

Lateral Panels
Prints just fine :-) Previously discussed: Model had issue on Clean Left, but is now fixed. Originally the hole didn't go through the panel. I ended up fixing it manually with some tooling.

Thanks, Jorge :-) I first noticed it after printing, else I'd just patched that in the slicer, or Fusion. But another one it about to be printed, so that's much appreciated.

Hello Congratulations on your work, the Rack4All collection is superb There is however a design error with the storage unit for Gridfinity trays The slider is too wide, standard Gridfinity modules bump into it I have added some photos to make it clearer In your illustration photos, there is no ridge on the slider; I think it was added afterwards Nonetheless, it remains a remarkable design, congratulations again

5 STARS!!! I originally made your tree storage system. As I ran out of space I wanted something I could pull forward instead of swing out. I didn't want to toss the tree leaves, so I made the rack4all. I increased the length to accommodate the size of the leaves. The width was fine. I don't need the front cover so it all works out!

@JorgeRui I’m having issues printing the angled stand. The extruded part that is meant to slide into the cases keeps failing. Any help would be appreciated!!

The supports should be active. If you disabled them, you can enable them and print again?

Great design, thanks to JorgeRui! I have a small question: is the screw hole not hollowed out? I noticed that the two versions seem inconsistent on this point, and I'd like to confirm the specific design intent, please help to answer.

I believe they are just the underside of the non-gridfinity shelves

I hesitate to print because I cannot find assembly instructions, could you help me understand or find the assembly information? However, I must say this storage model is quite appealing

No, an assembly manual is needed, detailing which part goes where

Ah, I downloaded one of the 3D packs and I see you've named each part…my apologies, my question was rather silly then

There seems to be a design issue in the stopped V2 Gridfinity drawers together with the stopped V2 laterals, as others have pointed out as well. One can only utilize 3 out of the 5 columns as the widened slides interfere. Also, the vertical backplate of the gridfinity drawer is too high for inserting another drawer right above. Is there perhaps a working stopped lateral model available? I see no other solution than to make the wide slides narrower, as there’s plenty support.
