Description

Ciao everyone,

For those like me who mount the AMS above the printer, I've designed this frame to elevate the glass and allow me to create openings to vent the hot air from the print chamber. I've also added flaps for each ventilation hole so that you can either open them fully or partially, depending on your needs.

The pieces have been designed to fit together, and it should not be necessary to use glue.

The print settings are as follows:

Material: PETG

Layer Height 0,2 mm
3 Walls - 3 Bottoms - 3 Tops
Infill 15% - Grid

Support everywhere

I'm also including a file for positioning the pieces on your Bambu printer's build plate. Everything can be printed on a single plate.

I'd also like to suggest a couple of other upgrades that I've created.

Please check out these two models:

A frame to elevate the AMS and use its underside to attach an LED strip for improved print bed lighting.

A Purge Bucket to be applied to the back of the printer, with magnets or adhesive, for those like me who don't have enough space on their table or shelf.

A solution to muffle the exhaust fan noise of Bambu Lab X1.

As always, I'm here to help if you need assistance.
In the meantime, happy printing to all of us!

Last thing, guys, this is the shelving unit dedicated to my Bambu X1.

Ciao

I used ABS with default settings proposed by the printer - BBL X1-C. What to tell? Looks like ABS but project is awesome. Need to buy foam seal only (like that original under the glass lid) and will be completelly OK.

Sweet. Did the supports still come off cleanly with ABS? I only tested with PETG

Hi. Supports came off easily from everywhere except front right corner part, where are circles covering printer's buttons. For that part sharp mini blade and metal file were needed. For flaps' hingers file was required as well to make them round. I wonder what settings for ABS should be used to obtain more smoother print without visible layers?

I see. My first version had issues in the same spot with PETG until I adjusted the z-offset of the support interface to be a bit larger. Perhaps ABS needs a tick more than PETG in that regard. Not sure tho. as far as the layer lines, you might be able to play with the adaptive layer height settings to lean more towards smooth transitions rather than speed.

Hello, unfortunately, I don't have a P1S available, but I believe the structure is the same as the X1C. Below, I've included a drawing with the dimensions of the part.

This design, but with a Lid for LED strip would be perfect. And maybe a Version for the P1S without the holes for the Buttons

Very nice design! It fits the P1S as well for those wondering. Both rings in the front are non-functional for the P1S. In Bambu Studio I had to eleminate filaments 2-3-4 since it was set up for the AMS.
