Working Keychain Cannon (Print-In-Place)

This is a keychain cannon, ready to defend both the office and your home. It has a spring to shoot cannon balls.

Print it as a toy for your kids, grandkids, or present it to friends as a gift.

1200 first names are included as 3mf, so you can print your personalized cannon. Let me know if names are missing.

Hint: To get all versions as 3mf, use “Download 3mf” above.

The cannon plunger holds one cannon ball securely in place, even if you put it on your keychain: In the bottom of the ball is a small identation, and on the holder you find a matching pin. Make sure the pin latches onto the holder when you load the ball.

New: Also the spring is updated now. It is based on the great idea of FailOften, to exchange the “round cross-section spring” into a “rectangular cross-section spring” to get better results with the overhangs. It really works! (I will update the other cannons as well)

Printing

• Print it without supports and as oriented in the STL.
• The cannon is fully print-in-place: No assembly required, just remove the cannon from the print bed and fire away!
• The cannon is designed for easy printing, so bed adhesion should not be an issue.
• The spring (inside the cannon) is 3D printed, and works well also if you print in PLA.
