Description

Updated to V2, 03/22/2024 - Strengthening ribs added; previous profile deleted.

I made this for myself because I have a bunch of Bambu Lab filament bags that aren't zip shut style. I normally keep my filament vacuum sealed, but occasionally I want to just temporarily store a roll and then place it back in the AMS. So, using this strip it is possible to just place a couple of folds along the top edge of the plastic bag and slide it on.

Way too thin to even consider this to be functional. The part falls apart even with gentle pressure. I do not recommend printing this at this time.

Hmmm ... interesting. Mine work fine - I'll take another look at it and do some tests on the ones I printed.

I just deleted the original profile and replaced it with a V2. The new version has cross ribs added along the length to break up the linearity which adds considerable strength. I hope you will try this new version. Thank you for pointing out the deficiency and not just giving it a bad rating - this was really helpful.

I did take another look at mine and they appear to be somewhat stronger than you indicate. I don't pull them apart to place on the bag, but rather fold the bag edge and then slide this on from one end. Obviously, because of the way the layer lines flow there is a weakness that needs to be considered. I'm thinking about how to make it stronger.
