Thanks strongIndustries

External dimensions are L180mm W110mm H140mm

Internal dimensions are L164mm W94mm H110mm

You will require 2---20x6x2mm rectangular neodymium magnets.

You will need to print out,

1 bottom

1 bottom adornment

1 top adornment

4 corners

4 side trims

4 feet

2 pirate ships

2 skull & crossbones

4 palm trees ( 2 left facing & 2 right facing)

4 bands

2 swords

1 handle

1 top

Pause print @0.8mm on the sword files for the colour change.

Pause print @2.8mm on the palm trees, pirate ships and the skull and crossbones for the colour change.

Once you have all the printed parts, you need to superglue everything in this order;

BOTTOM

1. side trims

2. pirate ships, palm trees and skull & crossbones

3. bottom adornment

4. corner pieces

5. top adornment

TOP

1. swords

2. bands (NB: The shorter ends of the bands for the lid go towards the hinge side)

3. handle

Secure the top hinge with the bottom hinge with a piece of 1.75mm filament and trim to length and glue the ends.

The only part of this model that requires some supports is the underside of the top. I used organic supports in PrusaSlicer just for the very top of the underside and it left a very clean print.

Instead of pieces of filament, you can use screws.

Arrrrrgh happy printing

THANKS muddymaker

Upscaled a little to suit my needs. Everything printed awesome and built together nicely. Added some Pirates Coin for our Treasure Hunt. Printed in Brown and Grey and used some Black Shoe Polish to weather. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2936980 https://makerworld.com/en/models/171323#profileId-188126

This is a great model! I went with black and gold. I might do an all black version next. I left off the decorative panels for now. I like the pirate theme, but might make a remix that's more D&D themed. I changed the hasp eye so that only the "eye" part was gold. I originally printed it in the solid gold color, but it felt too "heavy" on the front. I created some inserts for this, so I could use it to store D&D stuff. https://makerworld.com/en/models/225465#profileId-243338

Very beautiful model, although it has 2 arcs inside the lid that make support removal unnecessary hard and have no use at all. Also I have not figured out the reason why the steering wheel is on the build plates. The decorative tiles can easily be modified to the specific wishes of the recipient. this makes this model very versatile! The linked padlock is a 404, though, and the padlock that the creator has in its profile DOES NOT FIT with 100%! :-) learned the hard way!
