I really like the pirate chest and thought it would be a great way to store some of the smaller things I need for my D&D campaign ( instead of the little cardboard box I'd been carrying crap around in). After printing it though, I realized that I was just moving them from one box to a nicer box, and decided that I'd do some organizing.

A bunch of measurements, and a few test prints later, and I made this set of storage containers.

These are about as tight as I want them to be, but you could possible scale them up or down a fraction if you want them looser or more snug.

You might notice that the top sections don't go all the way to the edge, and it's because I intend to use the little bracket at the front corners of the pirate chest to install either a chair or an arm to prevent it from opening all the way. I just haven't figured out what I'm doing there.

I might create a set that extends all the way to the edges until I do though.

One last bit - the models are sliced into parts, allowing you to assign two colors. I liked having the top be an accent color. Because of this, it's more efficient to have them print on two plates. If you're doing all one color, you can just move them all to a single plate.
