I really like my A1 but we're not going to lie, the lighting system is close to useless. 😅
So I created a box that contains a module consisting of a light sensor (photoresistor) and a relay.
This box is made up of 2 channels, the first for routing the wiring through the X-axis sleeve, the other for routing the photoresistor as close as possible to the A1's original lighting.
The model has been designed to satisfy all skill levels, from experienced makers to beginners, with installation requiring very little equipment or knowledge.
In simple terms, when the A1's LED is activated, the photoresistor is illuminated and the relay changes state. This makes it very easy to control remote lighting from the A1's touch screen.
Power supply (or any other that fits your needs)
Any led bar/strip
For wiring there is various solutions, I expose 3 of them:
My tuning tip: Leave the A1 light off, turn the potentiometer clockwise, turn the light on then turn it anticlockwise until the relay clicks.
I just share how I've made my light system, you're free to make your own. I recommend the A1 LED Bar V2 by DerTobi01 with my remix of bar, I've adde more room and a diffuser. Its design is really well conceived, it doesn't interfere with the extruder and is very easy to install.
