Description
This model is free to download and build — but once assembled and finished, you can list your prop on Prophunt. A marketplace built specifically for cosplay props and replica gear.
This Halo SRS99-AM Sniper Rifle does not require an AMS.
There are 53 parts split onto 7 plates. The colors I used for the underlying pieces are Matte Ash Grey (11102) & Matte Charcoal (11101), but any color would work fine if you plan on spray painting it – I used BEHR Premium Oil Rubbed Bronze, Dark Steel, & Soft Iron.
You can find the filament used in the Bill of Materials beneath this description.

How do I assemble my SRS99-AM Sniper Rifle?
Excellent question – scroll beneath the ‘Boost Me’ widget to find the better instructions.
How do I print the Sniper Rifle with an A1 Mini?
There is currently no A1 Mini option for this build.
Will the gun stay together?
This model has excellent structure, but with any real use, it won't hold the way it should. I recommend a 2-part epoxy for large contact points, and a strong adhesive for cracks & edges.
What kind of epoxy/adhesive did you use?
I use J-B Weld Pro Size ClearWeld 5-Minute Set Epoxy for large contact areas, J-B Weld Superweld™ Light Activated Instant Glue for edges/cracks, and Gorilla Super Glue Gel for small contact areas.
If you plan on printing more builds in the future, consider picking up the larger sizes of adhesive. As of today [2.1.25], I'm on my 3rd Superweld, 2nd Gorilla Super Glue & ½ through the Clearweld bottles.
Is this a hard project?
Nah, it's pretty plug-n-play with zero hardware. I don't think you'll need any additional tools either.
However, I would recommend a good handheld rotary tool going forward. I consistently find myself needing to make micro-adjustments that few other tools can do.
How much filament will I need?
~1930g of your preferred filament. White/grey colors work best for painting.
How long will it take to assemble?
It's about 2 days in total print time, and then an additional 24 hours for paint & adhesion.
How do I avoid breaks when assembling?
- Insert the barrels last OR the scope last. The barrels are thin and susceptible to breaks, while the scope may fall off with accidental impact.
- Be careful with the barrel hand guard/rail system [named Upper Handguard in the system]. The end piece that connects this to the frame can break off if you're not using spacers between Upper & Lower Handguard or with accidental impact.
Can I use a bed slinger for printing?
If you're going to use an A1, lease consider changing tall, thin vertical pieces to a horizontal position.
How do I print in full size?
The model is at ~70% scale and measures ~48" [the average size of a Barrett 50 Caliber Rifle]. If your BambuLabs shows the model at 75%, you would need to scale it up to 107.14% to get a full-size version. If your alternative software shows the model at 100% in your slicer, you just move it to 135.42%.
