Hello Makers! I got an A1 mini Christmas 2024, then an AMS Lite October 2025 and I have found out that 3D printing is addictive. I try to model things that are usually simple but high-quality. I haven't found a niche yet, so for now I am designing things I have made in my free time for fun.
FYI: Pure AI slop is something I am genrally very opposed too.

Hey guys!
Just wanted to let you know I will be gone for basically all of July, working at camp and I will definitly miss my 3D printer lol.
Quick question: I might be able to spend a little money. Do you think I should get a better printer (A2L) or a better laptop for Cad desing (Macbook Neo) Right now for Cad I basicly have to use a school cromebook 🤮and It is quite slow and very underpowered. 😭

Dummy 13 Zipline
I had extra bearings and screws from a recent order from Bambu 😏
One problem is that the printed sheaves that go around the bearings and interface with the cable (I’m using TPU as the cable) are wearing out, making the ride not smooth.
I’m going to try to make the sheaves out of TPU, to see if that will make a difference.
If anyone has ideas for improvement that would be great!

Hey guys, Have you printed any great models recently that you think we deserve a boost? if so, please tell me! Please suggest models that are not yours, for other creator’s sake. 😉
Thx in advance!

Finished prototyping the mini Colin Furze hover board.
I’ll try to post it as soon as possible.
I’ll also post a version that doesn’t have magnets for just a miniature longboard.
(I would make it small smaller, but I bought basically the smallest bearings on maker world, and if I made the actual board any smaller, the wheels/trucks would look weird)
Also, for V2 for better “suspension”
do you guys think it’d be an OK idea to do a scissor lift idea?(Edited)

#a2L
Interesting that the A2L is already sold out.
Guess I’ll have to wait till when it goes on sale.
It’s honestly pretty cool that you can buy a XL 3-D Print for a couple hundred bucks.
I like how bamboo labs added a couple small upgrades to the A2L, like a better extruder motor.
I do wish they improved the camera though.

Functioning miniature hover-board!
(not really a miniature, it’s roughly 12 cm long)
Decided to re-create my own version of the functioning, actually rideable hover board made by the youTuber Colin Furze, because I thought his project was really really cool.
Right now I’m “holding” it together with toothpicks because I need to order the bearings and other hardware.
Hopefully it’ll upload it in around a week, once I fix all the little problems and order the hardware.
Please give suggestions!
Unfortunately I couldn’t really get the wheels any smaller unless I don’t use bearings.(Edited)

#PrintClinic
I was going to try to figure this out by myself, but Makerworld made the "Print Clinic," so here is my small problem.
Hey guys, my A series printer is having some trouble with bed adhesion.
Before you say "is it clean?" Yes, it is clean; it was washed with soap and water, and even still, the print did not stick to the bed. The only way to ensure, right now, that a print will not fail 60% of the time is by using brims and glue.
Here are some of my ideas about the problem/what I could do.
1. My build plate is 1.5 years old, has about 2000 hours on it, and is Textured PEI. I had a newer build plate, but it broke, so I need to buy a new one. Do you think the PEI surface is old and has lost some of its effectiveness?
2. My printer may need its belts tightened; it has been 6 months, so doing so couldn't hurt.
3. Is there a way to manually calibrate Z-hop?
4. Before I do anything, I should probably auto-calibrate and see if there is a difference.
Please consider this, and if you have some new ideas about what I could do, please comment! Thanks! ;)
What do you think is the problem.

#a2L Probably controversial, this is what I hope/think the A2L will be.
Single nozzle, no vortex, 350 x 350 x 350 mm build volume. Use already used A1 series parts.
Small upgrades here and there, like slightly increased speed, nozzle temp, better camera, but nothing crazy/deal breaking.
Usability with all versions of AMS.
Bedslinger to keep the price down.
$700 or under USD.
Don't worry, I am open to new opinions/Ideas. ;)
The reason I think this is because if Bambu Lab releases something that is basically an H2C without the enclosure, I don’t think most people would pay extra for the H2C to get an enclosure.
Releasing a printer like an H2C would, I believe, destroy the incentive to buy the H2C and ruin the exclusivity of the vortex system.
Thanks for reading my opinion. Please tell me what you think in the comments!
Obviously, I could be wrong, Lol.
Do you think the A2L will be a near copy of the H2C without the enclosure?

Idea
I saw this model. It was basically like fake grass, but I thought it was cool so I printed it and now I’ve the idea of making a stand for a baseball out of that 3d printed fake grass.
Something like this.
one problem is that once you take uff the baseball after a while, the weight of the baseball would’ve kind of wrecked the grass. it kind of made a divot.
Good Idea/ Would you print?

First articulated poseable figure, (Probably) the last model I make on Tinkercad!
Introducing the Togbot 13! (I used Dummy 13 joints, and because of that, the Togbot is a Dummy 13 Remix)
