I uploaded a new model, it's a modular tabletop pinball / soccer game!
I wanted to add it to the kids toy contest, but verification took so long the

Well... I did it again. 😅
The A2L has officially joined the workshop.
Calibration is running and I'm already thinking about what to print first.
Every time I say I have enough printers, another one somehow finds its way here. 😂
Anyone else using an A2L already?
Any tips, favorite upgrades, or must-print accessories?

#a2L @Romans1x16 Hey guys! I recently placed a big order of filament and a 0.2 nozzle for my A1, and noticed that in the hotend page it says compatible with A1 and A2, instead of saying A2L. I think they might have let it slip so be expecting an A2 and probably an A2 Mini as well, nothing we weren't expecting, just a note. Also, I spent over $100 on my order and earned a grand total of..... $1 in Bambu Credits 💀 Why even add this Bambu it's so minimal 😂

Bambu lab just released the a2l. One of the things that people like it for are the modular attachments. Then I saw a comment complaining about how the high end printers didn’t have this. Well why shouldn’t they? Should @BambuLab make modular attachments for other printers? Please tell me your thoughts in the comments. #a2L #Printer Accessories

It's so sad, when I bought my A1 it cost more than the A1 combo now and was just as expensive as the A2L now.
Do you know this?

Bambu Lab A2L! My reaction
Bambu Lab has released the A2L printer (& plotter, but the plotter's an opt-in), here's my thoughts and what's right & what's wrong in my predictions. Note that I just react and DID NOT own such printer. I have A1 mini (and AMS 2 Pro) when it comes to Bambu Lab printers. The motion system + buildThe motion system is a bed-flinger / bed-slinger Cartesian, which is famous for being more budget-friendly. It is A series' preferred motion system. I thought Bambu was going to completely ditch such system based of the first stance of X1 prologue, but the bed-slinger industry survived thanks to post-CoreXY revolution effects, which means applying what CoreXY revolution did to the bed-flinger, and that means I was wrong. The build volume is the same as H2C so owners of both H2C & A2L will be able to swap the plates. However it (being A2L) is incompatible with plates for H2D or H2S. I've checked their specs. The unit has a weights that are placed on the top of the frame. I have seen some people loading these, most primarily, weights loaded with sand, to their printers, in hopes to reduce ringing. However, the A2L uses the tiny balls or particles to dampen the unseen / unexpected vibrations. The heat bedThe maximum temperature of what the bed can heat up is, however, is the same as A1 mini, I wonder if they are finally using bed heaters that are meant for 3D printers and heats uniformly, like Voron and Bambu A1 mini (???) It is! Judging by CNC Kitchen's video. The toolhead - the fun part, more fun if Bambu lets me upgrade my extruderThe extruder is well, now come with PMSM. However it would be a banger if Bambu let A1 owners, including me, have PMSM extruder upgrade, with the new toolhead board and the mounting. Anyway, one of my prediction is the pen plotting and cutting support, judging from the announcement's markers, did, albeit using these from H2 series. The A2L does not support laser engraving because it is an exposed-frame machine. (you do not want an exposed-frame laser engravers do you?) Speaking of upgrade, as I've already said, if Bambu decide to sell an extruder hardware upgrade kit for A1 owners, that would be fun because it could rival what Prusa (3D printer) which is very good at, and me being a typical DIY enjoyer and extreme modder.Things you don't see it often, but Imma tell theseWatching CNC Kitchen's video and seeing the replacement Y motor, and so the replacement bed, the belt is very wide, as the bed is really heavy. The purge wiper has been redesigned, it now has a flap dedicated to nozzle clumping detection, and the detector is based of the hall sensor that detects the flap. This allows the printer to still detect small clumps. A2L comes with A1 hotend by-default. And thus the “A1 hotend” has renamed to A-series hotend. Weird that Bambu did not use H-series hotend, well I thought the A-series hotend be the prototype... but nope. A2L allows the use of 3 filaments on an AMS Lite and 4 sets of normal AMS, not either! Unfortunately, porting to A1 series is currently constrained by the fact of the microcontroller, per Made by Layers video, but we will see.Well that's about itI have a dedicated blog site where I usually react, announce and post there, but not this time, well maybe later. If you enjoy my content, including my made models, consider following me in any platforms here. Updates2026-06-02: Clarify that the hall sensor is to detect the flap's position, not mounted on the flap.

Interesting that the A2L is already sold out.
Guess I’ll have to wait till when it goes on sale.
It’s honestly pretty cool that you can buy a XL 3-D Print for a couple hundred bucks.
I like how bamboo labs added a couple small upgrades to the A2L, like a better extruder motor.
I do wish they improved the camera though.

#a2L Here is my take on this. The A is for the A series. The 2 is for the second version. The L could be a larger version of the a1 just like how we have a smaller version. Or when people refer to their a1 with the ams lite they say a1c for combo. What if this is a sign that there will be a new ams lite to come out with their new printer. This reminds me on how when the h2d was released 1 year ago was the same day the ams 2 pro also came out. The ams lite can be quite unreliable as we all know... Just like the OG ams so they made a better one. I don't see why Bambu would continue to make a new bed slinger printer as they are outdated and kind of slow. If the starting price is over $450 area I think they won't make to many sales. Otherwise an affordable beginner printer in the $300 range would be great.

#a2L Probably controversial, this is what I hope/think the A2L will be.
Single nozzle, no vortex, 350 x 350 x 350 mm build volume. Use already used A1 series parts.
Small upgrades here and there, like slightly increased speed, nozzle temp, better camera, but nothing crazy/deal breaking.
Usability with all versions of AMS.
Bedslinger to keep the price down.
$700 or under USD.
Don't worry, I am open to new opinions/Ideas. ;)
The reason I think this is because if Bambu Lab releases something that is basically an H2C without the enclosure, I don’t think most people would pay extra for the H2C to get an enclosure.
Releasing a printer like an H2C would, I believe, destroy the incentive to buy the H2C and ruin the exclusivity of the vortex system.
Thanks for reading my opinion. Please tell me what you think in the comments!
Obviously, I could be wrong, Lol.
Do you think the A2L will be a near copy of the H2C without the enclosure?

#a2L I would like to make an observation that the letter looks to be laser cut so this could be a sign of a affordable h2d.
