Exhaust vent filter cover

When creating an exhaust duct for the printer that extends outside the window, the part of the duct extending outside needs to prevent mosquitoes and insects from entering. For those who do not wish to install a backflow prevention valve, the simplest and most effective method is to install a filter screen

This filter screen cover is suitable for pipes with an outer diameter of ≤Φ70mm, and the pipe should not extend more than 10mm beyond the exterior wall. The mesh is designed hexagonally to maximize both ventilation and insect prevention

Installation method: Center the exhaust duct and directly adhere the screen cover to the exterior wall with all-purpose glue

It is recommended to print in light colors, as light colors do not attract mosquitoes and insects

Someone asked about water ingress, and I will explain it here:

My vent hole is close to the side of the windowsill, with the pipe extending out about 5mm, leaving a gap between the pipe and the screen cover. The top of the vent hole is blocked by the window frame, the right side by the windowsill, and the left side by a flange of the baffle plate. In case of strong winds or swirling gusts, rain may wet the screen cover, but the rainwater will only flow directly out of the wall through the mesh and not into the vent pipe. During a few heavy storms, I was concerned about water flowing in. I specifically pulled out the indoor pipe and felt it; it was dry.
