AMS Lite Ultimate Reversed Stand - For Controled Humidity and Easy Filament Access

2026-03-08 : Fixed some weird bug when slicing. Cranked layer to 0.28 mm for faster printing.

Say goodbye to the hassle of printing a complex, time-consuming filament spool case!

This clever inverted stand allows you to mount the AMS Lite upside down above your printer, making filament changes and loading much more easier.

🧩 Key Features:

  • Photo 1
    Photo 1 - Minimum height

Improved Visibility & Access: Easily see your spools and access them without obstruction.

  • Flow Freely: Reducing PTFE friction and wear by avoiding sharp bends of the tubes
  • Protect Feeder Units: Support the main housing avoiding any pressure on feeder units.
  • Precision Fit: Designed for a snug fit with the AMS Lite, with markings for quick spool identification.
  • Additionnal space: Leave extra space for external extra spool, plenty of room for extra easy-to-replace desiccant silica container, etc.
  • Two Versions Available:
    • Original
    • Compact (to print on an A1 Mini)

🛠️ Installation Notes:

  • Photo 2 - AMS lite cable

PTFE Tube Routing: You’ll need to cut holes into the shelf directly beneath the AMS outlet to accommodate the PTFE tubes.

  • Security: The stand can also be screwed into the shelf for added stability (see photo 1).
  • Cable Extension: Depending on the final height of your AMS Lite, an extension cable may be required to connect it to the printer. These are affordable and available on Aliexpress or Amazon. Route the cable along the AMS’s curved section and through the shelf (see photo 2).
  • PTFE Tube Support: For guiding the PTFE tube through the shelf, I used these PTFE supports in reverse (see photo 3):

💡 Recommended Add-On:

No need to print a 60-hour, 1kg multi-part box where you can’t even see your spools!!
Pair this setup with 3D Part Factory's simple and quick-to-assemble filament spool enclosure (dry box) for the AMS Lite (see next photos and video). I used the Sterilite 51L (54 Quart) Clear Gasket Box from Walmart (https://tinyurl.com/muksnu84)

📦 Bonus Tips:

I’ve positioned my AMS to one side of the container, giving me 100mm (4") of space for:
