Description

This deluxe dice box is drawn completely from scratch based on measurements from my wife using FreeCAD (though heavily inspired by my remix of one of my favorite dice boxes). I sized to fit just about any normal pencil or pen in the right slot, hold two standard sized minis (even some tall ones) in the bottom slots, and three dice sets on the right slots.

The dice tower is also drawn from scratch and is a smooth fit (set it down and it will glide into place as it displaces the air cushion beneath it).

While the whole setup is fairly slim in height, the dice tower does barely fit the “giant dice” from Chessex and easily fits even the commonly slightly oversized metal dice.

In the pictures, my wife (Battle Marmot) cut and fitted some sparkly foam to help cushion the dice as they land.  As a result, the dice tower is actually 1mm shorter/thinner than the upper ledge of the slots to accommodate anyone who might desire to do something similar.

I hope you enjoy this as much as we do!

Changes:

  • 2024-12-27: Dragon Scale lid uploaded as a separate print profile (also drawn/patterned by me, it's not based specifically on any one design and not related to the original remix)
  • 2025-02-18: V2.1 Added V2.1, which adds a lip to the dice tower pocket better hold the dice tower in place when upright and updates the dice tower with notches to accommodate the new shape (also slightly shunk the interior to ensure adequate wall thickness near the notches).  V2 original files are still available for those who don't want that.
