Description

Update 12/2025:

---------------

Hello everyone!

It is always possible that newer versions of Bambu Studio may have some issues with individual parts in the slicer.
Before printing anything, please always check the parts in the slicer first. This is something you should always do...

And please let me know if you see any problems with a particular part (before you print it).

Then I can fix it and you won't have produced any waste.
Feel free to leave me a comment here (please include the Bambu Studio version and which plate/part is affected) or send me a private message in the chat. I will fix it as quickly as I can.

Have a wonderful and peaceful Christmas season with your family and all your loved ones.

---------------

An almost fully printable dividing head with 120 mm table and an accuracy of 3600° or 0.1° at 360°.

The dimensions assembled:

Height: 87 mm

Width: 178 mm

Depth: 144 mm

Depth with hand wheel: round about 210 mm

Can be printed in one or more colors with PLA, I provide the corresponding print profiles.

Please note that there is a special print profile for single and multi-color printing.

The models are explicitly adapted to the respective requirements and do not work with each other.

For colour printing, the finished AMS project is already optimized to save filament - the nozzle is cleaned in the nozzle structure. For example, I had very little waste when printing the 120 mm table.

The project is printable with 0.4 nozzle and 0.2 mm layer height.

Printable from A1 Mini!

The dividing head can be fastened with clamps (10 mm hole) and M10 screws, vertical and upright and with parking brakes on two sides.

If you don't like the T-slots, you can also print out a head with a screw grid as an alternative.

However, four other screws are required for this alternative head. Further information can be found with the model.

You can find an overview of all previous expansions at the very end.

Some additional components are required for this project.

Please take a look at the enclosed instructions!

You can find the list of required parts in the attached document. None of this is expensive and everything is relatively easy to obtain.

For example the bearings, the cheapest available on the internet will do - as long as the dimensions are correct! We don't have a high performance machine here, speeds and smooth running don't really matter.

In addition to the complete parts list, an assembly instructions and general instructions are included.

In the general instructions you will also find tips on printing the device and further information.

Please let me know if you have any problems with the model or the print before you give a bad rating, I would be happy to try to help you. This project is quite complex and will take time to complete successfully.

And I am also happy about any feedback and your results.

The project is currently still in a beta phase, even though we are already at version 1.6. Everything should work very well, my two complete test printouts (with AMS, no AMS) are a strong indication of this - but it is still far from perfect!
I know that and I'm simply asking for your support and cooperation. We can improve it together!

According to my research, this is the first and only freely available and actually printable dividing head on the Internet. And this is not my last project in this direction.

Please support me, I have more projects in the works and need your help.

You can also support me directly, I am happy about every donation to be able to procure filament and components.

Further modules are in the works for this subhead and a whole series of other projects will follow!

I hope there is something for you?

Update 2024/12/19

Lots of new information in the usage section in _guide.pdf.

Update 2024/12/22

Added a special offer for Paypal supporters in _guide.pdf at the very end.

Perhaps someone would like to assemble the device in a video, test it a little and give honest criticism?

With the creator's permission, I would then link it here. In this case, please write me a message and send me the link.

I don't have the time or the equipment to create something like this properly and of course I can't be impartial myself.

Extensions:

The first extension is available!

https://makerworld.com/de/models/925235#profileId-888134

And an alternate screw grid head is available:

https://makerworld.com/de/models/928437#profileId-891993

Some things are (perhaps) still to come for the appliance…

Among other things, another alternative head with a connection for vacuum pumps is planned. This head can be used entirely without clamps, the workpiece is sucked onto the head. However, this requires a vacuum solution that you already have.

And an adapter plate with the same vacuum concept is provided for the T-slot head. The adapter plates can be used to quickly switch between T-slots, screw grids and vacuum as required.  The focus here is on maximum flexibility.

Furthermore, a CNC-capable version is (probably) still to come. That also depends somewhat on whether and how much interest there is in these more complicated things.
