Description

I wanted to print a ball joint dice tower but could not find one so I made it. This can be easily disassembled and packaged into some game's box or backpack's lid for easy transport. You can twist it how ever you want but make sure you don't block the exit or make a too low corner for the dice.

The fuzzy skin seems to produce quite a bit of stringing especially on the PETG HF but did not need much cleanup.

Instructions

  1. I recommend using PETG as the model needs to bend a bit, I used the black PETG HF from Bambu Lab. Could use some transparent PETG so could see the dice dropping through or combine multiple different colors.
  2. Print the tube parts (in the 3mf file it's the two of the same parts on single build plate) as many times as you'd like. Personally I have 4.
  3. Check that they slot well together, push the part with the slits inside into the other part. It should go well and it can be a bit tight to get in.
  4. Print the other plate once - this has a top bowl that is wider so it's easier to drop dice into it and also it has the base.
  5. Put the bowl to one end of the tube you've created and the bottom to the other.
  6. Twist it
  7. Drop dice
  8. ???
  9. Enjoy

This took quite a few revisions to get it to work the a way I want but as a single tube piece is quite cheap to print, did not mind.
