Description

A cute baby dragon miniature for every need (you decide).

Please note that the cover image has not been transformed 100% accurately into the 3D model. You can see the final print on the bottom right in the cover image, and in the rest of the photos.

– Additionally: I've improved the resolution of the model (even though it's still not at the level of the original image), and have added a screenshot of the model from Bambu Studio.

Unless you are blind, the slicer shows the real story....no detail at all. This model is JANK at best!!

Thanks for the feedback. A few points: 1. The model has gained enough 5-star ratings to warrant that it's not "junk". And the slicer image looks great, too. Not resin level, obviously, but that's how it is. 2. As I made clear, both in the description and the accompanying images of the final print, it's not a completely accurate depiction of the image. 3. I do think it's a good idea to add an image from the slicer, as you did. So I'll do that for future prints, and thank you for that.

Dude why don’t you just post the model it’s self and not the ai image it was based off of. The model is still good but posting a higher quality version as the main image is definitely deceiving. People obviously like it and the other models you’ve done as well.

I gotta know, is this stuff all AI generated? just a bit of tweaking to set everything right?

Yep; low quality AI trash. Just like the rest of his stuff.

I'm using several AI engines to help in the creation of the model, followed by some CAD tinkering and tweaking to make sure the final print is good enough in my estimation. It's not an easy or a streamlined process (LOTS of flukes along the way), and I make sure to always print the final model, so I can be sure I'm happy with it, and so I can post the images here and people can know for certain what they're going to get at the end of the printing process. In the end, if people like it (and it looks like they do) and they gain some value from printing it (which, again, it seems they do), then all's good in my view.

It really isn't though. The only digital version of the model you post in photos is the AI photo and not the model itself followed by photos of prints that are blurry, odd angle, painted to hide lack of detail, far away, or a combination of all of the above. It's purposeful misrepresentation.

not really qualified to judge this model but it bears little resemblance to post , I was looking forward to printing the dragon as they are a favourite of mine , it looked so detailed and showed great character , but what came off my printer is like some cheap plastic toy from pound shop . Not worth my best filement and time . you represented your model and that’s what I am so disappointed in , not even going to keep it it going straight into poop bin where it belongs
Other Issues:misrepresentation of model

i’m very new to 3-D printing. I’ve only printed like maybe 100 things so far but that looks like shit. I’m really sorry I don’t mean to be mean it’s not like you designed it. 🤷🏻‍♂️ well I don’t think you did anyways all the lines are blurred. There’s nothing defined. It’s all blurred and blended together. This looks 98% close to a different one I printed for my grandmother a month ago, but the one I printed for her is way more detailed here. Let me show you.

it was awful i printed the model and was so upset at what it printed , it bore no resemblance to the picture the designer had posted , and i commented to let him know what i thought of his model , i had not had my printer long and i later found a better one , so i think it was a bogus account to get pionts , i have come across a lot of them in the 9-10 months ive been on this site ad now i report them to get models taken down when that bad !

oh come on don't be so harsh if you find it bad then try to create and improve the model yourself i also practiced making a model it is damn hard

there’s no reason these printers can’t print a model exactly like the one in the photo why even release this it looks nothing like the photo sorry not sorry but this is trash

As I wrote in the description, the final model isn't exactly like the one in the cover image. I've added several photos of the printed result, so people know what kind of result they'll get, including in the cover image itself. Full transparency here. In the end, if people like it (and it looks like they do) and they gain some value from printing it (which, again, it seems they do), then all's good in my view.

There can't be such a terrible model, am I upset with the time I spent or the filament I spent? It's nothing but disappointment...

what were you disappointed about? your print looks fine and others seem happy with it. Just curious.

Yeah Looks nothing like the rendered image. I am fairly this is just an Ai generated model.. I was going to print it until I seen the pics people was posting.

By using AI to fake a community member "print", clearly. This is just another BS "review" to defend OP's slop output. Flagged. 🖕🏼

Printed out great on the first try on X1C. This was using AMOLEN PLA that is over 3 years old! Details are not as fine as source model in first picture. Designer notes that in description, but reading comprehension is hard when just looking at pictures. Maybe post print larger than source photo or put highlighted text noting the fine detail model is the source for those not taking time to read description. It’s still a nice print though to test that old filament.

Thank you for the feedback, and congrats on the successful print (especially considering the material). I agree with your recommendation. Next time I'll add the picture of the precise model to the cover image. I'd hoped adding the photo of the printed figurine would be good enough, but evidently it doesn't convey the message clearly enough.

Yeah. I was surprised for sure. I saw your notes about source vs model and was very happy with a print that very closely matched what Bambu studio rendered. I live in Hawaii and humidity is a big issue. I gifted this dragon to my coworkers 4 year old son and he was thrilled.

This design is awesome. I needed a Christmas dragon to paint, and found this. I modeled a Santa hat in blender and fitted it to the model. It turned out great.

Other Issues:Misleading thumbnail. Model is low poly. This would be okay, if that's what was presented... but it seems set up to intentionally give people the impression the model is highly detailed, and it is not. As soon as I loaded it into the slicer the bait and switch was obvious. As a result, I saved the filament and did not bother to print it.
