Description

Boost Me (for free)

If you like this, you can boost me for free! It would be much appreciated!

Dragon egg with a removable baby dragon inside.

I used super glue to hold the eyes in.

The bottom half of the egg has been rotated 90 degrees to help with multicolor filaments.

If you are using a gradient filament, use print by object or use different plates for the egg pieces. That really helps with the transitions. Check https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/software/bambu-studio/sequent-print for more information.

Great print! My kids love them! I don't know if it'll work for everyone, but I rotated the bottom part of the egg clockwise 90 degrees when using multicolor filament and it made the colors match up from top to bottom.

Thank you for the rating and the picture! I will change the print profile and rotate the bottom 90 degrees to see if that helps more people. Thanks for the tip!

No problem! I'm not sure if it works for all filaments, but I used tri color OVV3D silk and it worked both times! Thanks for making the file, the kids love them.

not sure has the profile been changed. the original still prints totally off from matching.

This little thing is great! I printed this in a rainbow silk filament and my daughter LOVED it! The only thing I would suggest for others is if you plan to use any gradient/silk filament, check the orientation of the top and bottom part of the egg and align with the threads. Otherwise, your top and bottom egg parts won't line up with the gradient in your filament. This may be very hard to get right, especially the first time. If this isn't an issue for you, this print is excellent!

Thank you for the review! I agree with you about the top and bottom of the egg for gradient filament. You could print by object for those or on separate plates to help with that.

Tell me exactly how to print with a gradient so that the thread meets? I just have a problem that nothing came together

Employ per-object printing or utilize separate build plates for the egg components Consult https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/software/bambu-studio/sequent-print for further details

colours line up perfectly! first time closing was slightly stiff (got stuck with half a scale to go), but after closing and opening a couple times it's brilliant!

first time rotate needs some filing off, it would require enivel3d to update model. its just the corner of print start.

Excellent model and clean print Unfortunately I had problems with the tricolor filament no matter what I tried it didn't really flush with the color transition I printed a total of 7 eggs or rather top and bottom parts rotated etc only 1 egg turned out perfect But I can't fault the design in my opinion it's not cleanly printable with tricolor and color gradient I'll try again in a few days with monochrome silk let's see Still top and a boost :-)

I agree that the multicolor filament is hard to make line up on this print. Thank you for the rating and the boost!

Excellent model, it's beautiful! I'm curious, could you tell me why it came out this way? It has some small imperfections; I'm not sure why. I'm new to this, I don't know if it's because the reduced speed for overhangs isn't activated

There could be many reasons for those lines. You could try changing the layer height and try slowing down the print.
