Magnetic Interface Adapter for A1 Extruder Cover

This solid model is a magnetic interface adapter specifically designed for the A1 extruder cover, allowing for quicker and easier removal. This design is inspired by a similar model but includes several improvements to enhance its functionality:

1. Additional supports: For to provide stronger and more secure fastening I design two differents variants:
   1. Three magnet print profile variant (my preferred solution):  Adds an extra magnet for increased holding strength. If you choose this option, please unscrew the cutter lever screw until it sits flush with the surface—about five turns should be enough. This adjustment does not affect the normal functionality of the printer in any way.
   2. Two-magnet print profile variant:  Includes an additional centering/alignment pin to enhance stability during use.
2. Reduced Thickness: The thickness of the model has been reduced, contributing to a more aesthetically pleasing.
3. Improved Bevel: A bevel has been added around the edge to enhance the plate's support, ensuring a perfect fit on the extruder cover.
4. Adjusted Dimensions: The dimensions have been precisely measured using a scanner, ensuring optimal compatibility with the extruder cover.

Technical Specifications

• Materials: Utilizes neodymium magnets measuring ø6x2 mm, but it is also compatible with magnets up to 3 mm thick and between 3 and 8 mm in diameter.

• Customization: The model is designed by default for magnets with a 6 mm diameter. However, by scaling the negative cylinders, it can be adapted for magnets with a diameter ranging from 3 mm to 8 mm.

  

• Installation: The magnets are installed by pressing them into place. Position the magnet over the hole and press it in using any blunt plastic or wooden object you have on hand.

I recommend launching the vibration and noise tests after installing this mod. You can find these tests in the printer menu under config/maintenance/calibration.
