Description

This allows you to run material from the AMS or external spool without having to disconnect the PTFE tubing.

This uses actual industry connectors so you can be confident in a secure fit and reliable operation.

Amazon Pneumatic PTFE Tube Push in Quick Fitting Connector

Installation

  • Put a test filament through the apparatus on both entry holes to make sure you have clean operation before installing the connectors
  • Insure the ptfe tubing fits cleanly into the designated hole on the single side of the splitter
  • Install 3 Pneumatic fittings on the 3d printed part
  • Remove the current fitting from the printer where the ptfe tubing leads into the machine
  • Install the single end facing towards the inlet to the printer and the dual end facing towards the buffer (while installing the single end be sure the ptfe tube reaches all the way to the stop, occasionally the ptfe is too short from pushing the old connector on. You can loosen it from the inside to give yourself more tubing)
  • Test the apparatus by running filament manually into the open hole, make sure there is no resistance

If you run into resistance while feeding manually make sure you have pushed the ptfe tubing all the way in. If that doesn't work remove the connectors and inspect for any stray particulates or remaining support material.
