Updates
- New version 2.0 coming soon! Separate profiles tuned for each type of TPU (i.e. 95A, versus 98A versus TPU for AMS) . Even better fit and better sealing than before. Each profile will have all the variants. The thumb tab has also been redesigned to be even easier to use and more durable. ETA: late June, 2026. I'm still testing…almost 100 test prints.
Special Ask: I'd love it if you can follow me. I am working to boost followers so more people can know about new models or updates that I am releasing on a regular basis. I plan to release significant new models in 2026 that I think you will all enjoy.

A slip-On Cap to Help Slow Carbonation Loss on Aluminum Cans
No supports needed and no (sparse) infill used. An easy model if you are just trying out out TPU for the first time or are TPU-curious :-)
I strongly recommend printing this with TPU. The flexibility of TPU offers a better seal and improved usability. Printing with harder filaments is not recommended if you want a good functional can lid. PLA in particular will be challenging and without scaling it may not even fit. In particular, I'd recommend 95A TPU unless you use the “TPU for AMS” profile with that particular (harder) material. Using softer (90A or 85A) TPU has not been specifically tested by me and may result in a looser fit.
Uses
- slow down the carbonation / fizz loss on opened cans
- Keep bugs, bees and otherinsects out of your drinks when outdoors (picnics, BBQs, etc)
- Fits many different aluminum cans (some samples posted here). Soda, carbonated water, beer and many energy drinks.
Variations
Standard Fit
The “classic” fit. Not as airtight as the version below but is a little easier to take on and off. TPU is strongly recommended. Though you can of course try it with any material I would advise against PETG or (especially) PLA. Available with and without a “hook hole” - a small hole in the “pull tab” to allow for hanging on a small hook for organization.
Extra Tight Fit (Snug)
Added a version that is a bit tighter. If you use this version, you will almost definitely want to use TPU if you weren't already planning to. If you try to use PLA or PETG this may not even fit on the can. Even with TPU, this version will be a bit more difficult to get onto the can than the standard fit. But it is more airtight and will seal better. Available with and without a hook hole. To remove easier, use your thumb and push up from below on the thumb tab.

Bambu 3MF Notes
For the “Sampler” profile there are now 4 labeled plates showing which is which. Please note that the sampler profile has been optimized for regular TPU. If you intend to use “TPU for AMS”, please use the profile dedicated to that material for best results.
