Hasn't it happened to you before that you're sitting comfortably with friends or family at a beach bar or ski lodge, you want to play a game, and there's no dice cup or even dice in sight?
- No? It will soon happen.
- Yes? Then the dice cup to go is just what you need.
It holds up to four 16 mm dice or five 14 mm dice and has a secure locking mechanism so that it won't give way, whether folded or extended, even in the heat of battle. It's so compact that it fits in any bag or swimsuit, so you can always have it with you.
Attention! This is a print-in-place print, so your filament should be well-calibrated and dry!
To achieve the desired surface, a fuzzy skin with special settings was applied to selected areas, so only use the print profiles I created (marked with "Designer") unchanged!
Attention! Redesigned!
Fully reimagined and better than ever. The Dice Cup 2 Go has been redesigned.
An upgraded closure system ensures a more secure, satisfying fit—perfect for gaming on the move.
Now optimized not only for classic rigid materials like PLA, PETG, and ASA, but now new for flexible Bambu TPU for AMS (Shore hardness 68D) - softer TPU like Shore hardness 95 A unfortunately doesn't work.
The result? A noticeably quieter play at dice and a more refined, high-quality gaming experience.
Sound pressure level when rolling dice:
- TPU for AMS: 73 dB(A)
- PETG: 78 dB(A)
- ASA: 80 dB(A)
- PLA: 81 dB(A)
- PC: 82 dB(A)
Below are the instructions for my favorite game, which is played with the Dice Cup and two dice.
It can be used as a drinking game, I also like to play it with my family at the campsite to determine who has to do the dishes the next day.
This Game has many Names:
- in Austria: Lügen, Paschen, Einundzwanzig or Mexiko
- in Germany: Mäxchen, Meiern or Riegen
- in Great Britain: Mia
- in the Netherlands: Mexicanen, Mexen
- in Denmark: Meyer or Majer
- in Italy: Tokyo
- in Poland: Pipo
- in Finland: Meier
- in Czech Republic: Macháček
and many other Names in each Country.
In the following description, we will simply call it Mäxchen.
Mäxchen can be played with any number of players.
Game materials & basic flow
- Played with 2 dice, a cup, and a surface
- Players take turns rolling
- The player looks at their roll secretly and announces a value (lying is allowed)
- If they are not starting the round, their announced value must be equal to or higher than the previous one
- Then the cup is passed to the next player
Options for the next player
Trusting (believing)
- The player does not look and rolls themselves
- Their announced value must be higher or equal
- If necessary, they must lie
- If a player does not want or cannot lie, they may roll again (second chance / “Eingestellt”)
This roll is passed on without looking and face down
- Challenging (doubting)
- The dice are revealed
- If the roll was correctly announced: the challenger loses
- If the value was announced too high: the previous player loses
- If the value was announced too low: the previous player also loses
(Depending on the agreed variant, this may instead count as a win for the previous player.)
Getting the rolled value
The higher die counts as the tens digit, the lower die as the ones digit (e.g. 6 & 2 = 62)
- Normal values: 31, 32, 41, 42, 43, 51, 52, 53, 54, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65
- Then come the pairs (doubles): Double ones (11), double twos (22), double threes (33), double fours (44), double fives (55), double sixes (66)
- Highest value: 21 (Mäxchen, Mexiko, Mia, etc.)
This roll is always revealed immediately, the next player has no chance to beat it
During rolling (important, especially for second chance / “Eingestellt”)
An equal value to the previous one also counts as higher Value system
Errors & special cases
- Dice falling off the table → minus point
- Dice stacked on top of each other → reveal & roll again
Start of a round
- The loser starts the next round.
End of a round
- A round ends when someone challenges a roll
- or when no higher value is possible → 21 (Mäxchen, Mexiko, Mia, etc.)
- The winner starts the next round
Scoring system (optional)
- Everyone starts with e.g. 10 points
- The loser loses 1 point per round
- The winner is the last player with remaining points

I frequently receive inquiries about printing problems with various print profiles created by other Makerworld users.
Unfortunately, I have no control over the profiles that other Makerworld users upload to my models (Neither the geometry nor the print settings).
While these are often well-intentioned, they are not maintained, and the results are sometimes unsatisfactory.
Therefore, I strongly recommend using only the print profiles marked "Designer". I can only provide support for these!
