If you like one of the models present, please leave a Boost, Like, Comment, or Rating. My goal is to make functional parts that help remedy an issue I've found that doesn't seem to have a free or readily available solution.
This profile is designed to make some adjustments from its inspiration/original model(s) in the following ways:
- Slimmed down the angled brace of the model
- Doubled to tripled the number of screws for a more stable grip
- Angled the screw holes outward to make it easier to screw the mounts to the wall
- Added a 2nd lower brace for the tools to keep them from leaning outward from the wall at the top of the tool
- Added small outdents to help keep most of the included tools in place
- Added a mount for the LB6500 Leaf Blower
- Made some adjustments to the cup(s) that hold one or more of the tools in place vertically
- Added 2 extra options for the Power Head mount to account for various forward handle locations
- Made substantial changes to the STA1500 Trimmer Tool mount to allow the plastic deflector to sit on the mount
IMPORTANT: If you run into any issues, please message me directly first before leaving a comment.
This profile includes mounts for the Ego Multi-Head system line of products along with a mount for one model of Ego leaf blower. The particular mounts included are for the PH1420 Power Head, EA0820 Edger Tool (for Multi-Head), STA1500 Trimmer Tool (for Multi-head), and LB6500 Blower (not part of Multi-head system). Each mount has 4-6 mounting holes that can be used with #8 - #10 screws. They are designed to work best with a horizontal 2x4, but you could potentially mount them to vertical 2x4s if you use long enough screws. Most mounts include small outdents to help hold the associated tool in place.
For the LB6500 leaf blower, the mount should create a level holding experience. In the event that the mount twists a little (if mounting between multiple vertically stacked horizontal 2x4s), you can tweak the twist a bit to level out the tool by loosening/tightening the top, middle, and/or bottom screws on each side. It may take some experimenting, since the adjustment would depend on which 2x4 was slightly thicker, the vertical alignment of the mount on the 2x4s, etc.
Also for the LB6500 blower mount, I would recommend using stick on rubber pads like those found here (just a product that worked): Rubber Feet 2 Rolls, Adhesive Rubber Pad. If the sticky part of the back side of the rubber tries to peel up, just toss some super glue on the sticky side and apply it to the plastic mount. If one side needs a couple layered pieces of the rubber to level off the tool so that it balances vertically (not leaning to one side), that shouldn't be a problem. The rubber pieces, if used, should be applied to the angled surfaces of the mount that stick out furthest from the screws/back plate. The left side of the mount should have at least 1 piece of rubber applied to each of the 2x top angled faces. The right side of the mount should have at least 1 piece of rubber applied to the inside angled face, since that is where the part rests.
In one case, because the placement of the pre-drilled holes in the 2x4s was off, the right side was slightly lower than it needed to be, resulting in the blower leaning to the left for the portion hanging below the mount. Simply adding 2 pieces of rubber pad to the inside angled face of the right side of the mount remedied the issue(3 pieces total now), leveling out the tool perfectly.
