Vernier Caliper Ruler - Two Lengths

***NEWLY ADDED 28 FEB 2024 Optional Depth Gauge for both versions. see separate profile for this option. ***

Two lengths to choose from, 150mm suited for A1 Mini or 210mm for larger print beds.
Great for occasional use or as extras around the house!
Nice educational and learning tool for students or young hobbyists!
Recommend using Bambu Lab PLA and dark color for the top layer to prevent color bleeding.

So far just printed the ruler part printing the other part. Unfortunately I dint have the AMS system but this model was great because I didn't even need a AMS system for this I just paused it mid way then changed the filament and it came out amazing 👍

Would be super nice if the pause was already added to the "no-ams" profile. It is always frustrating to me when a simple change could be added so anyone could have a multicolor print, but users either have to reslice themselves or babysit the printer waiting for the right layer change. Even just a note in the description "text ends at layer 26" would be so much better.

slice it in your computer. and on the preview before u send to priner. right slide. go down till the layer before letter start. that’s layer you need to swap at. remember that layer. when it hits that layer on your app. pause and swap. and done. easy peasy 🤓

Lol uh no that's not "easy peasy". You have to sit and babysit the whole print. Also, if you're already putting it in the slicer (which is the whole problem of them not adding the pause to profiles), why not just add the pause in to the layer? Why do you find the layer and wait to pause it manually when you could just right click that layer in Studio and select "add pause"?? No, what I'm saying is that if it's possible for someone's print to be multicolor for everyone without AMS with 1-2 simple pauses, add those pauses to the profile. Then I don't have to deal with the slicer at all, I just send the profile to print. If I'm already in the slicer there's no point.

Brilliant! I'm impressed! Printed a few of these as extras around the house and some for the boys. Printed nicely with Bambu Lab PLA and was surprised about the accuracy and overall functionality. Thank you for the upload!

Very nice, precise. Just a bit difficult to read, maybe it's the colors i chose : Bambu lab matte PLA dark blue and sakura pink. Do you think i can achieve better resuls with a 0.2 nozzle ?

Thanks, i've notice a flaw in the design : On the vernier scale, 10 ticks should correspond to 9mm to be able to read decimals. I've made another one in fusion and it works great, but i can't post it because you do not allow remixes...

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Although the main scale is accurate, I will review the information and see if I can add the ten ticks along the bottom. I will provide an update soon. UPDATE: I was able to add the missing 10 ticks along the bottom. All files have been updated 👍🏻

Works quite good but the outer scale does not align to the innter one. Towards the 5cm mark it is off by 1mm.

that is actually how it should be. Every 5th line represents 0.1mm. You read the full mm then compare the lines and count which one matches (one of them does) so you get a more accurate reading then just 1mm. For example on your picture the Line at 1 cm matches the 10th line on the bottom which means your current messurment is 0.2mm instead of 0mm.
