Description

Introducing a custom-designed 22 LR ammunition storage solution: a compact, high-capacity box engineered to securely hold 105 rounds of 22 LR ammunition. The design features a innovative sliding container mechanism that nests neatly into a reinforced stackable lid, secured by dual integrated latches. These latches are easily depressed for quick release, allowing smooth separation of the container from the lid while ensuring reliable retention during transport or storage. Printed in-place as two functional components—no assembly hardware, supports, or post-processing required. The model is fully optimized for reliable results using PLA or PETG filaments, delivering excellent structural integrity, and a clean, professional finish straight from the printer.

Not sure why the banding but it printed great. I think it need a few more walls to make it a little more durable. printed in ABS

I don't have any experience with ABS, but it looks like it may be an issue with minimum layer time.

really cool print! thank you for sharing! my first one (using 2 colors) is running currently, but next one i run will only be one color… to me it’s not worth all the wasted time/filliment changing colors constantly (i’ll just use a sharpie or something to color the “22 LR” a different color)

Thanks for your feedback. There is a profile for a glue in face plate that takes a lot less time. Total time for one face plate is around 12 minutes.

oh that’s great! I’ll have to try that as I now… would NOT recommend using sharpie to color them in 😅 as you can see in the picture what happens… (maybe others already knew this would happen but i’m new to 3D printing 🤣)

I like the 2 color print the most by far for overall quality, HOWEVER the way it needs to print takes a lot of time and color changes, leading to a lot of wasted filliment, but the results are still outstanding! I printed the single color option next, as well as the glue in face plates, not quite as “perfect” 22 LR text as the 2color print but still a great print overall. I’m going to print more of the single color option with glue in face plates as for my needs the slight downgrade in overall appeal is worth it as these won’t be “display” items anyways 😅 Thank you very much for sharing these files/options for us!! The actual holders are awesome! Easy to load, and even easier to dump out 7 or 14 or 21 rnds out a time based on how far you slide the box open.

Have you tried the face down version of the glue in faceplate? I think they look better when printed on a textured plate.
