Gridfinity Magnet Setter Tool (Screw-Feed)
Print Profile(1)

Description
Snap magnets into Gridfinity bins—cleanly, safely, and with the right polarity
This Gridfinity Magnet Setter is a simple, print-friendly tool that makes installing small magnets fast and frustration-free. The bulb-shaped handle sits comfortably in your hand, and the screw-feed mechanism lets you dispense magnets one at a time—exactly where you need them.
If you’ve ever installed Gridfinity magnets, you know the pain:
- Polarity confusion (one wrong magnet can ruin a whole batch)
- Tiny magnets + big fingers (hard to pick up, hard to control)
- Magnets slipping or jumping to nearby metal and stacking incorrectly
This tool keeps magnets contained, aligned, and controllable, so you can place them deliberately—without chasing them around the desk.

Printing & Assembly
- Material: PLA (works great)
- Hardware: None required; glue 1 magnet on the screw to never confuse polarity again (I use 2 sticks, one for bins, one for base frame)
- Assembly: Just print the parts and thread them together—the magnet advances by turning the knurled screw.
Why it works so well
- Ergonomic, high-grip body for stable handling
- Knurled thumb knob for easy turning and precise control
- Screw-feed “push out” action helps prevent slipping and misplacement
- Holds multiple magnets so you can keep working (and even use it as a mini storage tube)
