Description

Wall box cover for Scandinavian wall boxes. Fits Swedish, Norwegian and Danish wall boxes. The screw holes are spaced 6 cm apart.

This is the new and improved V2 version of my previous wall box lid, which had some known issues. This has been designed from scratch to solve those problems.

For added safety, I recommend printing in PETG as it's self-extinguishing, and it has superior UV-resistance to most other common filament types. The more flexible characteristics of PETG (compared to PLA), are also ideal for this piece.

Lid width: 9,3cm
Screw hole gap: 6,15cm
Lid thickness: 4,0mm
Lid weight: 16.44g
Print time (4mm nozzle): 25-30 min

Recommended material: PETG/PC
As far as I know, it is a requirement for wall lids to be self-extinguishing in 230V installations. PETG does have self-extinguishing properties, although it is only considered to be semi-extinguishing. If available, I would recommend using PC filament. PC is the material used by most professional-grade wall lid manufacturers.

Use PETG if: Your lid will be used to cover up low-voltage (12V-24V) installation, where the electronics won't affect the internal temperature of the wall box significantly. PETG is also ideal to cover up empty wall boxes or other holes in the walls.
Use PC if: Your lid will be used to cover up any installations with voltages of 110V or above, or installations where the wall box internals will cause the temperature to increase.
