<p>The reason the back is so thick is for rigidity and support. The frame top is thick to support the slots for the tie-straps (to attach to stuff) and for the overhang that protects the USB connector. It&#39;s easy enough to modify if you want to use velcro straps. </p>

<p>I wanted to use this panel on my camera bag but needed a way to attach it. Two halves - top and bottom. Glue together. </p>
