Description

Be Quiet! Light Base 500 LX – Bottom Panel Mod V1

This bottom panel is designed to cleanly cover the lower interior area of the be quiet! Light Base 500 LX, creating a tidy and high-quality look by hiding gaps, screws, and cables.

The panel is installed tool-free and is held in place by small locking tabs that engage directly with the bottom fans.

Installation Notes

For best results, it is recommended to slightly loosen the bottom fans before installation.
The fans—especially the center fan—have a small amount of play, which helps compensate for tolerances between the case, fans, and panel.

  1. Loosen the bottom fans slightly so they can still move.
  2. Insert the bottom panel and align the locking tabs with the fan openings.
  3. Gently press the panel into place until all tabs are engaged.
  4. Fully tighten the fans again from underneath.

This method ensures a secure fit and perfect alignment.

Variants

A version without a cutout is also available:

  • Ideal for builds where no power cable is routed from below
  • Perfect for rear-connector motherboard layouts such as
ASUS BTF, MSI Project Zero, Gigabyte Stealth, and similar designs

Other Parts

Filament and color

If you use these parts in a black case, you probably won’t have any issues.
With the white case, however, I haven’t yet found a filament that matches the white tone 100%.

I tested quite a few PETG and PLA filaments. The best match so far was Polymaker Panchroma PLA Cold White,  Bambu PETG-HF White is also acceptable.

If anyone knows or uses a better-matching white filament—preferably PETG—feel free to let me know 🙂
