Description

I wanted something that looked like a piece of art on my desk as well as being widely compatible and printable on the A1 mini!

This is the first iteration of a case system I hope to build open and develop. The curved display of the tyrx panorama would fit perfectly as the top piece in this design. Unfortunately in my prototype I didnt have the correct riser cable on hand and my 24 pin cable was a bit too short as its intended to be routed behind the motherboard tray so for the sake of having a functioning system the cables are a bit of a mess.

Overall the design has met my goals of being completely printable on the A1 mini while keeping full compatibility of an atx motherboard and atx PSU. Other key features include:

Sturdy design built to last and not purely reliant on the plastic which can be prone to creep (I opted for heavy heat insert use to ensure expensive components are safe in the long term)

Completely modular with options to mount a full range of hardware and all sizes of graphics cards without any restrictions

360 and 120mm aio compatibility (240mm is in progress but can be adapted as STEP files are provided)

Minimal supports and mostly flat prints to ensure full structural stability

Cyberpunk/Industrial Aesthetic for those who value sleek builds in dual tones

Snap fits joints

The total hardware needed is listed below:

12 X M3 Heat inserts + 12 X M3 screws (4-8mm)

12 X M3 Brass Standoffs (5-15mm can use 20mm for more cable clearance)

62 X M4 Heat inserts + 62 X M4 screws (6-8mm) (4mm can be used in some areas and 10mm can be used for side red panels in the base)

A straight PCIE riser of around 350-400mm with 2 mounting holes and a 90 degree connector like the picture below:

step/fusion files will be provided for the whole project so it can be adapted to your needs!

Finally a 12mm power switch can be mounted in the base or adapted to fit the isogrid template if using an itx or matx board

The filament used is JAYO Black PETG and Tinmorry Red PETG

A PDF with all the heat inserts use and the assembly process is also provided, Have fun printing!
