Honestly, this is hands down the best model I’ve made since I started my modeling journey.
I poured so much love (and time!) into this one—getting the scales looking crisp and making sure the geometry of the tail wrapped around the pillar exactly how I imagined it. It was a huge challenge, but I'm so proud of the result!
I designed it to be that show-stopping boss for your next D&D session or just a beautiful piece to paint up on a rainy weekend. I’ve uploaded a massive 170mm version for maximum drama and a standard 70mm one if you need something smaller for the table
Print Instructions: This is a tall, complex model, but the results are worth it.
- Quality: The included print profile is set to a 0.12mm layer height to maximize the details on the scales and face.
- Supports & Adhesion (Crucial for the 170mm version): It took many attempts to get the settings just right for the large version. The provided profile uses 2 wall supports and a wide brim. These are essential to ensure the heavy wings and the tall overall structure print perfectly without failure.
- 70mm Version: The smaller version is much easier to print and should work fine with your standard miniature printing profiles.
- Experimental Note: While the provided profile is tested, feel free to play around with your own settings. If you find an even better support configuration, please share your results!
