Description
Model Overview
- Problem: The Tesla Model Y trunk light stays on indefinitely when the hatch is open, with no timeout or manual switch.
- Solution: This 3D-printed shutter is designed to cover the light, allowing you to have the hatch open without the light staying on.
Printing & Installation
- Material: Printed successfully in matte PLA, which has been tested and held up with no issues, even during the summer heat in Las Vegas.
- Mounting: Attaches to the trunk interior using Velcro for a sturdy and reliable hold.
Optional Parts
- Magnets: The design includes optional slots for 6mm diameter x 2mm thick magnets (the same size used for Gridfinity). These are recommended for a better hold or feel, but are not required for the shutter to work.
