Accessory and Small stuff Case. Compatible with BaBo Sytem Inserts
and
Modular Expandable Rack so You can store as many Cases as You want in efficient way.
As I'm already have some amount of printers and they are in different rooms (as I don't have big enough dedicated one) I wanted some good mobile storage system for printer accessories and other related stuff like fittings and small tools e.t.c. I have already a [BaBo] Shelving Box by Willi 3D and I like it, but this time I decided to make more Mobile one. So here is my solution. Storage case. To make it more fun I have done Clean Lids and Lids with some most popular 3D Print Brand Logos. But if You will decide to print this case and will need something else on Lid, don't hesitate to ask and I will make one (if it will be possible of course).
What You need to know about the Case
Inner compartment of case is 180mm x 210mm x 30mm (Length x Width x Height) plus You will get another 5mm on top of that (Lid space). But if You will use this case with [BaBo] inserts I would recommend to glue some soft foam (Sponge type is perfect) 5-7mm thick into Lids compartment to prevent dome small things to fall out of inserts when you will carry the case as this extra space will allow that. This will even give some premium feel as well. Base of Case and Lids are equipped with manual made Mouse ears to minimize warping as much as possible. But print area takes almost all print bed area it is possible that PEI or whatever plate You are using can lift up from print bed. Haven't had this issue here but had when was printing Case Rack modules (they are a bit wider and higher). To prevent this I would recommend to use a Bed Clamps. Something like these by Lemanito. If You have a H2D printer then this possibility shouldn't happen. Everything printed there came out perfect with zero issues. Everything can be printed in PLA but I would recommend to print Latches in PETG as it is a bit more elastic material and probably more reliable. But PLA should work ok as well. I'm Using 3mm metallic dowels for hinges and latches so they will last. Each case will require 2 x (3x50mm) dowels for Hinges and 4x (3x30mm) dowels for Latches. See Bill of Materials Below. As You can see I have made Some set of Case Front Labels (most common ones in my opinion) but if You want to make a custom one for Your needs There are two ways to do it:
- Just message me and I will quickly make them
- Edit Text in Bambu studio on Label presented on Plate 2 in Label Profile.

What You need to know about the Case storage RACK
Mainly Rack is made quite simple. You have main section (CaseStoreyStage) and Top and Bottom Parts. Use as many Main sections as many Cases You want to store in the rack. All parts are screwable together with M3x(10mm-16mm) self tapping screws. Yes You can use from 10mm to 16mm long screws. 16mm are perfect but if you have a bit shorter they will work as well. Countersunk head is perfect but as screws are hidden (except on top Part) You can use other ones as well. Screw fit holes are inside of the side walls. They are done in a slight angle so You can easily get screwdriver to work with. For Top Covers Use a M3x8 Self Tapping Countersunk screws. I think assembling is pretty easy and shouldn't have any problems, but if You have any questions, just ask.
You can Buy me a coffee if You would like to support me even more :)
