🌼 What is it?

This is a 3D-printable wildflower seed bomb press shaped like a classic grenade. Fill it with a homemade seed mix, clamp it closed, and pop out flower-packed grenades ready to launch into the wild. Whether you're guerrilla gardening, gifting something unexpected, or getting the kids involved, this press makes seed planting explosive fun.

❓ How to Use

1. Print off all the relevant pieces 1x Top, 1x Bottom and 2x Screws
2. Make your seed bomb mix (see recipes below)
3. (Optional to ease demoulding) Dust the bottom of the mould with flour, or cover with foil/baking paper 
4. Scoop you mix into the bottom half (grenade shape) of the mould
5. Press it down firmly and aim for a level top, scraping away any excess 
6. Apply the top half of the mould and press down very firmly
7. Whilst applying pressure, screw in the two screws or attach a C-clamp (preferred) 
8. Do not overtighten the screws - they are plastic after all! 
9. Wait two days for the mixture to completely dry, any earlier and you are likely to have difficulty removing the mixture in one piece
10. Remove the Grow Grenade! See the tips below if you are having difficulty removing #
11. Choose your target, throw the Grow Grenade and watch the magic happen 🌱

🧪 Seed Bomb Mix Recipe

To make your own seed bombs:

• 3 parts powdered clay (Like this: Amazon UK)
• 5 parts compost (sieved first) - Any will do but peat free is best 
• 1 part wildflower seeds (native mix recommended)
• Add water sparingly until a crumbly dough like texture that holds it shape and is moldable

💡Tips for demoulding your seed bomb:

The seeds bombs can be difficult to demould - especially if still wet. Try these tips to get your seedbomb to demould perfectly

• Dust the inside of the mould with dry compost, cornstarch or flour for smoother release.
• Let them dry overnight before launching. Or even better, leave them for two days, but be sure to keep them dry. 
• Use baking paper, parchment paper or even foil to line the mould before adding your mix
• Use a rubber mallet to gently tap the seedbomb onto a soft surface
• Remove the top cover after a day to allow the mixture to dry faster
