Description

A 3D printable Businesscard embosser, can be assembled without any hardware, everything just snaps together.
I designed this businesscard embosser to be modular and 3D printable without using any support and without any hardware required to assemble.

The tollerances are tight. And some materials work better then others. I have had best results using Basic PLA.

Available patterns:

3 Rollers available, more patterns can be found on my makerworld page!
- Confetti
- ZigZag
- Polkadot

Assembly:
(Pro tip: use some lubrication grease / vaseline around the gears for a better working!!)

Make sure to allight the bottom gears maked with the dot and allign with the stipe.
Do not forget to add some lubrication / grease between and underneath the gears!

For the top gears some marks are present as well to allign the gears properly!
Also here! Do not forget to add some lubrication / grease between and underneath the gears!

Druck sah gut aus, aber leider funktionierte das Teil einfach nicht. Selbst dünnes Papier hat die Rollen immer wieder blockiert. Auch der Drehknopf schnappte beim drehen immer über. Schade, ging direkt in den Müll

Did you apply any grease / lubricant around the axes and gears? Did you follow my assembly guide? Also, these are not my rollers, have not tested those. Most people having great results ;) hope you can get it working!

Ich habe genau das gleiche Problem, ohne Papier lässt es sich super leicht drehen mit Papier unbrauchbar! Konstruktionsfehler beim Antrieb des Drehgriffs zur Antriebswelle.

did you ever figure it out? I've been wanting to make rollers for my ceramic stuff that I make, but I haven't had any luck with getting a roller with my design on it.

you should put it on before closing the lid on the top, have you tried that?

This tool produces very good results. Makes my business cards look a lot more premium. However, it is quite a bit harder to turn the handle than I expected. I used a pair of pliers to crank it, but what it really could use is a much larger handle or perhaps a custom wrench.

have you lubricated the the gears well? especially around the axes it rotates on and the flat surfaces?

Replying to @Makerspace.NL :
No, I was concerned that I would eventually get grease on my cards. However I do have some dry silicone lubricant for my bicycle chain. I might try that. Thanks.
