Description

Custom Car Key Cover for older generation VW, Seat & Skoda Models

Breathe new life into your car key with this custom-designed cover, crafted especially for older VW, Seat, and Skoda models. Not only does it protect against further wear and conceal existing damage like worn-out buttons and faded labels, it also restores functionality after a broken key ring or latch. Plus, its unique design adds a personal, distinctive touch that makes your key truly one-of-a-kind.

Versatile Versions & Printing Profiles

This design is available in five distinct versions, with dedicated printing profiles:

  • Version 1: Without logo
  • Version 2: With VW logo
  • Version 3: With Seat logo
  • Version 4: With Skoda logo
  • Version 5: With Seat logo in TPU

> Note on TPU: The TPU variant offers the flexibility of a softer material but may display a less refined surface finish and be prone to stringing due to its material properties, which are not entirely optimal for this model.

Assembly Instructions

Step 1: Remove Supports

  • Cover: Gently break away the support structures from the cover using small pliers.
  • Button Pad: Remove the supports from the button pad in one piece.

Step 2: Insert Components

  • Insertion: Place the round button and button pad from the inside into the cover.
  • Assembly: With the buttons facing downward, gently open the cover and slide in your car key.

> Important: Avoid applying force to the key part during assembly or disassembly to prevent damage to the flip mechanism.

Step 3: Logo Attachment (Optional)

  • This step adds a level of contrast and introduces a second color, making the logo stand out. Without applying the extra color, the logo will still be present as a relief but will be in the same color as the rest of the part.

Slicing, Supports & Print Orientation

The printing profiles for this model have been carefully designed to address potential challenges:

  • Enhanced Supports & Stable Positioning: The extra supports increase the contact area with the build plate for better adhesion and help improve the surface quality on slight overhangs. The model and the supports are carefully positioned to reduce any shaking or movement that could affect the finish, ensuring a clean surface even on the trickier parts of the print.

Upgrade your classic key by concealing unsightly wear and restoring functionality—all while adding a modern, stylish touch. Whether repairing existing damage or safeguarding against future wear, this key cover is the ideal enhancement for your cherished fob.
