Description

This is the most notes I've ever made in a music box, 21 in all...impressive, isn't it?
Most of the music boxes I make are asked for by users here, like this one @N9Volt came up with the idea, hopefully this is what he wants!
If you're a fan of gameboy Pokémon Red and Blue, don't miss this!

I've divided the parts into three plates, you can print them in your favorite colors to make the finished product look colorful!

Before you start, please watch the video I recorded, which will help you understand the whole melody.
Please understand that the sound presented in the video will be much smaller than the actual sound.

So, let's get started.

I know some people think these parts are so simple that they don't need to read the assembly instructions.
But I've seen a lot of people make mistakes in the assembly and the music is not as good as expected!
Please refer to my assembly instructions (pdf file) before assembling, and then if you have any problems, I wish you had photos so I could help you out!
May you all have fun with it, and not be disappointed!

-------------------------------------------------------

To make sure you get a good printout, you can print the comb part first and then use the method in the video to test if it produces a bright sound.https://www.youtube.com/shorts/EXfQZVVLFPo

in order to make the drum and base close together, the width of the base is 1cm smaller than the drum, so when you load the drum, you need to use a little bit of force to support the base as shown in the picture.

If you like this music box, maybe you'll also like the other versions I've designed, so be sure to take a look!

question did you include the song of the battle scene with gengar and nidoran before the title screen appears except the shooting star sound and the most known notes of the song where you can tell easily? If you didn’t… I really wanted that battle scene to be in the music box because thats what makes it more special than if you only did the title screen part by itself because i can feel that part is missing and i think it would be better if you added to it and i feel that parts of your music box are taking longer clicking sounds than what it supposed to sound for the actual rythem beat because i was like huming the song while listening to it but my huming sounds were faster in beat than the music box was making im saying that parts of the song you made were more clicks in beat that than what the song actually makes. i couldn’t recognize the song fast enough as compared to your Jurrasic Park music box which that one sounded amazing while this one needs more work but you did good for your first time trying making more notes for this big music box but it could be a lot better i feel like you could try to make the square parts click more faster by making them closer together so you have a faster beat for the song than it clicking once where it could click 2 times but still have the big pauses of the song but don’t make them more than 2 seconds long so it doesn’t take more space than what you could fit. Ill maybe try to make a video of what i mean by pauses for clicks and slower parts than what it actually sounds in the song. Im not talking about how fast your turning i feel like it should make the rythem better if you turn it a normal pace than going by each beat of the song so you don’t have to turn slow for parts parts of the music box.

I think it's because I'm not very familiar with this theme, so I captured what I thought was the main melody and ignored a short melody at the beginning. I found a video clip; please check if all the melody parts you want are in it. If so, I'll figure out how to add them. https://reurl.cc/6KEN86 You're right; making a larger drum can accommodate more notes, and there won't be too much pause when turning. My initial concern was that a larger drum would make the whole piece extremely large, and I wasn't sure if people would choose to give up on printing because it was too big. However, I'll still try to make it and see what happens. Maybe there will be an unexpected good result.

also you could make it a bigger size than instead of long cylinder but idk maybe im wrong but i know if you had a bigger cyclinder you could fit more sqaure parts on it than a long cyclinder because thats makes more longer to turn than rather it being too fast to turn all the way around
