Description

With this ball bearings upgrade of the stock Bambulab spool holder which comes together with A1 printer you will get improved filament spool moving with unneeded friction and no worries about filament tangles. You can mount it directly on the original Bambulab spool holder (instead of the original one without ball bearings). Print safer, print smarter! :)

I only uploaded renders for the “remixed” parts.

Heavily remixed:

Side Spool Holder with ball bearing Bambu Lab X1 Carbon Remixed by Chicco - MakerWorld

I recommend to you this with a desk/wall stand:

Bambulab A1 spool holder desk stand by Robbicon - MakerWorld / A1 2in1 spool holder desk stand + wall mount by Robbicon - MakerWorld

Print:

  • 3 walls
  • PLA/PETG (recommended)
  • infill type grid
  • infill density 25-35%
  • print without supports (you can use the uploaded .3mf file)
  • 0,20 mm layer height
  • 0,40 mm nozzle size

Materials:

  • 2x M3x16mm screws
  • 2x squared M3 nut (5.5x5.5x1.8mm) to attach the bracer with the roller body
  • 2x ball bearing - type 608zz or similar (608 series

Enjoy!

Nice design and tolerances. I ended up using the spool holder but a different spool rod so that I didn't need to print three pieces for the spool rod.

Really nice print. What spool rod did you print? Can you share? I use the split design for easier printing and better moving.
