Your search ends here! Introducing The Perfect filament clip v2. 

A filament clip is a small device used to secure and prevent the unwinding of 3D printer filament when not in use.

 

In my quest for the perfect filament clip, I’ve experimented with a multitude of designs, but none have truly satisfied my needs. Some clips fit certain spools but not others, some are too loose and detach easily, while others grip the filament so tightly that removing them becomes a Herculean task.

 

My new filament clip, however, has achieved perfection. Its universal design allows it to be used with any filament brand, ensuring a snug fit that stays put once attached. It securely holds the filament, yet its release mechanism is as simple as a gentle pull.

 

What sets this filament clip apart is its adjustable grip. The deeper you insert the filament, the tighter the grip. I personally prefer to push it in just one or two clicks, but I encourage you to experiment and find the grip strength that works best for you.

Designing these models is HARD, and sharing them makes it harder. Creating these designs takes substantial time and effort, involving a lot of testing and a significant amount of filament wasted until the perfect design is achieved. While making models for my own use is easier, sharing them with others requires additional work. The designs need to be more foolproof and universal, and I have to create all the profiles, take pictures, and write descriptions and instructions. Your support would be greatly appreciated. Boosting my models would really help me continue sharing these designs with you. Thank you!

As said in the profile rating, fits every spool safely. I liked them so much that I made a little reservoir for the rolls currently in the AMS :)

You nailed it, I have replaced all my filaments clips with this one. It holds with an iron grip to the spool and it's super easy to lock and unlock the filament to it. Thanks for sharing!
